I rarely turn my AC on.

Course I live alone

I get naked when I'm in the place by myself.

Naked fan time is awesome

80 is grounds for divorce , and should be enough to get you off in self defense if you kill her.

67 is the correct temperature. Never more than 70.

78 is the absolute lowest I will put my thermostat.

I figure if the monkeys I evolved from can be alright living in those temperate climates then so can I. Especially with the advancement in medicines in the last 200 years.

People are pussies. It doesn't need to be that cold. Now if I'm hot from sweating and working outside then I will like to be cooled right away. Then I'll pump the thermostat back up

Also 78 + ceiling fans =/= cool air. It just equals hot air being whipped around quickly.

72° during the day. Cuts down to 65° at 10:00 pm. Usually doesn't run again until 3:00 pm after it hits 65°.

You are the man. Don't get duped by all this queer Bruce Jenner shite. Set the thermostat on what you want. Bar her from touching it. Give in if you have to in some other facet of life to make it more even. But do not, under any circumstance, let her touch the frickin thermostat. It's your castle.

Your AC guy is an idiot. It takes less energy to go from 80 to 79 when the outside temperature is higher than it does to go from 70 to 69.

No one is talking about 1 degree dumbass. Get it up to 80 in the house and then set the thermometer to 70 and see how long it has to run to get down to 70.

Never higher than 67 during the day and at least 65 at night. In Winter, I leave the heat on about 57-60. Wear warm clothes if you don't like it. I pay the bill.

All this is due to how well your house or apartment is insulated. Because as we know heat heat goes from high concentration to low concentration. So if you get it really really cold inside and you have really crappy insulating means, the the high temperature outside will go inside very quickly. As there is a greater temperature potential difference. If its 95 outside I'll keep it around 80. Keeping it around 70 is just asking for your AC to continually run all damn day. WATTS and WATTS just being consumed.
