First she brings you to China at the breakout of the virus. Now she leaves the gas on? You sure she ain’t trying to get your life insurance?

Turn some fans on for awhile blowing toward windows with stove in between

Do you think he has intrinsically safe fans?

What did you end up doing?
I have a gas sniffer. I hate gas, and after changing out appliances, I wanted to ensure the connections were sound.

Yeah, turning on anything electric is pretty dicey. Even flipping a light switch.

I’ve seen fire departments recommend doing it

Turn on your fan on the ac and let it circulate the air from outside

No
Do not turn on anything electrical
And the fan on your AC does not circulate air from outside

It's amazing most people live to be adults.

You’ll never get the gas out of your walls. Don’t plan on lighting any incense or your fireplace for another year or two.

Also RIP from your gas bill.

Stoves don't use a whole lot of gas.

A few minutes of furnace use will eclipse a whole days worth of stove use.

The smell will be strong even if the actual volume of gas in the air is low. That shite they put in it is potent.

People suggesting flipping breakers and switches is a major yikes. Anything that opens and closes a circuit has potential for a spark. It's unlikely but dangerous.

If you leave the windows and doors open you should be good after a few minutes.

Had that happen. I think I was the one who accidently hit the dial, but I was only gone for about 45 mins. The crazy thing was.. My dogs are usually inside when I leave, but that day I was going to be gone too long so I left them out in the backyard. But that smell does hit you right away..

We had the same thing happen in our motorhome. Got back from a day at the beach and walked in to the gas smell. And our dog was in it at the time. Pulled the knobs off of the stove so it doesn't accidentally happen again.

While the average box fan has an induction motor that has no brushes and is likely not to spark the switch gear may. Most don't have any metal in the fan anymore so that is fairly safe too. In the end, it is marginally safe but it is completely possible to produce a spark with them.

If there is a spark and the concentration of the natural gas or propane is between the LEL and UEL at the point of the spark he is gonna have a bad day.

Well, we'll be sure to confirm it wasn't a terrorist attack, just in case.

Don’t be gay, let it air out for a few minutes and you’re good.

Mine too. Thankfully his kennel is on the other side of the house and the door to the room was closed. He’s acting 100% fine
