LDH Tweet

Covid doesn’t matter on Saturdays. Must’ve been a super low update today so they nixed it.

It must be a conspiracy...

Those folks have actually been working on the weekends for several months...I imagine they are ready for a day off. No important decision will be made on a weekend anyway.

So why not take off the weekends? Why Saturday’s, but update on Sundays?

I agree. They deserve a break after working around the clock to manipulate us for so long

But how will I know if the mortality rate is 0.04% or 0.0397%?

Prob because Saturday's data would be reported on Sunday which will mean it will be on someone's desk for start of business monday.

Additionally, you don't want the craziness of 3 days worth of reporting to all hit on Monday making a scary spike the media will eat up and cause time to be wasted answering to.

But isn’t there some pretty big decisions looming? Wouldn’t it be prudent to provide the daily flow leading up to these decisions?

Like they’ve essentially done every holiday weekend?

They need to pump those Monday #'s up. Noone pays attention on the weekend anymore anyway, and Monday's #'s are always low.
