My friends trashy younger brother got caught drinking and driving tonight, got charged with a DUI. Problem is (apart from being a fricking dumbass and driving while drunk) that he's 15 and doesn't even have a drivers license. Buddy and his parents are understandably upset about it, though not shocked, and when I looked up the penalties all I could find were "90 day suspension, fine, attend a program" however these all seem to be geared towards the 16-21 range. Anyone have any experience with a kid who only has a permit getting busted?

Im halfway surprised this wasn't a story from Florida.

Then again, it's Mississippi.

What kind of friends do you have where a 15 yo with a drivers permit getting a DUI doesn’t shock their parents?

I hope they get some jail time for raising a little menace to society, a kid who's on the way to causing others pain & suffering, and costing us taxpayers big $$$.

He’ll be alright. I would much rather get a DUI at 15 than 30. Everyone loves a comeback story, he’ll turn it around.

Without an additional charge like evading arrest or battery if he fought the officer, he’ll probably need his first small face tattoo for early admission into Shark Life.

You have all day today to stop the kid from doing this.

PS: What are the winning Lottery Numbers for tonight?

Maybe they can get him a giant black dildo so he can start getting used to prison life. Prison is just a short trip up the road he is on.

They can also help him perfect a good hooch recipe so he can get turnt at the Graybar hotel.

I would say youth court and probably a fine with stiff probation.

Let's just say he won't be getting a drivers license when he turns 16.

Got damn OP this is why I came to the OT this morning. I hope this is the trashiest thing I read all day.

So first off the parents let the kid drive with just a learners permit by himself. Lol. AND they aren’t surprised by a DUI? Sounds like great parents.

Let me guess, this kids name is Braxton and is a solid USM pitching prospect?

At least he doesn't wake people up early before their garage sale, so that's a plus

If he doesn’t have a license they can’t prove it was him. A good lawyer should be able to get this thrown out.

the kind where both parents have been drinking excessively since they were 14

More details about it: he was on a back road driving from his grandparents to his house, a little more than a mile apart. Pulled out of his grandparents driveway onto the road and cop saw him swerving as he was turning around the bend in the road.

not as trashy a name as Braxton, and definitely not a pitching prospect even though he tries. Solid shortstop though.
