Saints will never leave NOLA. This is silly.

Maybe not while Gayle had them. But that can change any day.

Sounds like Broadmoor just provided a fee, and that lump sum bids were not taken.

Mississippi needs to go ahead and build that stadium in Bay St Louis. If you build it they will come
Agreed….we’ll take it!

This is the reason a government investing in a world famous stadium is good idea.
But that economic impact applies to the city not the state. So let Teedy fund it if New Orleans wants to keep the Saints there.

Correct it was an RFP not a hard bid job. Broadmoor is the construction manager at risk not general contractor

The usual economic take for a Super Bowl is somewhere between $300 million and $500 million for the host regions, he said.

So it’s good business to renovate the Dome and spend 300 million dollars of state dollars so you can create 300 to 500 million dollars in economic activity? I don’t think so.
How much economic activity does it take to generate 300 million dollars in state taxes? How many Billion?

So one of the poorest states in the US that takes the most federal money should be held hostage by a NFL team.
frick em. They don’t like you or any of us. They don’t care if they play in New Orleans or Oakland.
Why worry about professional athletes?

Do they take hard bids from GCs subs etc?
That would be smart.

How much is the NFL contributing because they took it up the arse for the city of Los Angeles?

What?
There are no other southern states with teams other than Florida and Georgia. And those states are doing great compared to us.
The answer is easy. Stop caring about professional athletes that don’t give a frick about you. They are an elite class. They take up entirely too much of your headspace.
