Not that I’m doubting it, but what will cause Marco to lose strength as it approaches the coast?

From what I've gathered a combination of wind shear from a trough in that section of the gulf and a small focused center should cause it to lose strength.

I am not one of the ones in this thread to listen to though.

The GFS and its ensemble mean are
significantly farther west of the official forecast at days 3 and
beyond, which suggests relatively low confidence in the longer-range
track of Laura.

Y'all, there's a storm out there. Good luck.

Marco has intensified significantly though. I wonder how much effect the wind shear conditions will have on it if Marco continues to strengthen.

it's a small storm... so it's more prone to wild swings in intensity

The problem is the stronger Marco also moves faster. Possible to outrun Laura.

The NHC also had it going over the Yucatan yesterday. With it staying over water we’ll have a hurricane today
