One day I want to rent a airboat, take it out in a minimal tropical storm, and freak out at the "huge" gusts Jeff style.

Several homes have been obliterated in Gran Lake area. I know personally of three that ain’t nothing but house husks left.

Looks tornadoish in type of damage.

Man, a guy at my shop just left headed to the area affected. Said he has some elderly family that live in Creole, LA and nobody has been able to get in touch with her since yesterday morning. She told his wife she was trying to pack up some important things and hit the road. She never called to check in whenever she got to wherever she is going.

Hopefully she got out and just forgot to call because she had a million things in her mind. Anyways, has anyone heard any reports from Creole? All I know is it is a little east of where Laura made landfall in Cameron parish and that it's a pretty rural area.

All the large (30'+) boat owners I know including myself have agreed upon value coverage. Out of every major thing I own the boat is the least of my worries.

I haven't seen anything but a lot of buildings around it on Ryan St suffered major damage. Some completely destroyed.

Guy on KATC was on Ryan St earlier and that area definitely took a ton of damage.

We had houseboats in cocodrie for years but every time a storm got close we brought them to safe harbor in Houma. Didn’t want to damage the vessel itself not to mention the liability involved if it wiped out someone else’s camp etc because you left it in harms way. Can’t believe insurance companies would pay out knowing you did nothing to move it out the area.
