you got people hooking generators up wrong
This pisses me off every year. Some people have no idea what they're doing with generators and don't think things through.
If someone is killed by a back fed line from an improperly installed generator, is there a way for the power company to find out who was responsible? I'd imagine not but I don't know.

He said he might spring for a used Schwinn and a broken GoPro.

It is going to take a while to get back online. I'm wondering what the chances are of them replacing it entirely. I guess they could bring in some portable type for the time being
Even a portable would have a lot of limitations. They're going to just have to replace the whole thing and rely on Fort Polk, Houston, Shreveport, and Slidell. I know Fort Polk went down but I think their comms are connected through the Lake Charles site. So when it went down, so did Fort Polk. I'd imagine that radar actually made it ok.

I know this is a long shot, but anyone near W. Prien Lake Rd. that can try to do a damage assessment on a home?

Only accept if he buys a new GoPro and then breaks it.

Planning on heading back tomorrow. What’s your email?

Looks as if Monroe is about to get a pretty good swipe from the remnants of Laura’s core.

Anyone have any suggestions on a route to get from BR to Houston tomorrow?
Was supposed to move tomorrow, so I really don't have an option to wait.
I was thinking I may have to drive north to Alexandria and then cut west, but even then, not sure roads will be driveable.

Hopefully the Ft. Polk radar isn’t in as bad of shape. If they can get it fixed, it covers a good bit of the area covered by the Lake Charles radar.

Maybe we can get a BOGO deal when they replace it.

Just take i-10 the whole way, live a little. Wear a helmet and a gas mask as you go over the pistol bridge in Lake Charles, just to be safe.
