Idk LC area at all — brother lives In MB near SHSP. He should be fine right? He wasn’t there for Rita .. and he’s working at the hospital starting tonight so I can’t get in touch with him.

I asked earlier, but would you seriously cut off your own little toe for a 100 mile shift to the east? For whatever reason I think that's a pretty damn interesting trade off.

Sorry, I missed that. I'd 100% cut it off for a shift 100 miles east (sorry to my friends that way). I was sober when I posted that. I might hesitate for a comparable western shift, but hell why not. People live without an appendix, half their liver, one lung, one kidney. Surely I can make it without 1/10th of my toes.

Laura is feasting on the last remaining part of a deep and warm loop current eddy on her track. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but this looks like the last remaining heat bomb in the GOM that would fuel a rapid intensification like we’re seeing in the last 3 hours.

Laura is moving away from the lowest heat content water now toward the highest that will be in place practically to landfall.
