Lake Charles people...staying or evacuating?

70% leaving. This track and intensity just won’t make up its mind.

I won’t put my kids in a situation where it puts them in danger.

Nope. Tried your and jml way.

If anyone has a burner email I’ll send these to you and you can post!

I have one but try with the update I just edited on the bottom of the last page.

Even if you just select Copy and copy the entire contents of the box, it should work when you post it into the text box on TD. Don’t worry about any of the side buttons like quote/link/img, just post the contents of that BBCode full link box for now.

My wife is likely going to have to stay at work in Lake Charles overnight Wednesday. I'm not leaving town without her.

Did we miss this about Marco?

quote:

Sampling by the aircraft has also revealed that winds of tropical
storm force are likely no longer occurring in any portion of the
circulation except in that convection.
Based on the SFMR data, the
initial intensity is initialized at 45 kt.

The shear is not forecast to abate in the foreseeable future, and
the simulated satellite imagery in the GFS and ECMWF suggests that
Marco will degenerate into a remnant low on Tuesday. The latest NHC
forecast is near the various consensus aids, which shows the cyclone
weakening to a tropical depression late tonight. Based on the
updated intensity forecast, tropical storm conditions are no longer
expected to be produced by Marco over the central portions of the
Louisiana coast, and the Tropical Storm Warnings for those
locations have been discontinued.

FWIW, KPRC-TV Houston's model has Laura offshore of Galveston at 2 a.m. on Thursday.

Now the only thing you’ll want to do to clean it up is delete everything outside of the [img] brackets once you paste it.

Planning on bringing Maw Mae here to Hou depending on track. Other family there are staying at their plant on the ride out team. Sounds like they are shutting down the plant tomorrow

Methinks they’re using some national model. I don’t believe any local stations have their own hurricane models.

If you didn't have kids, you would _______________?? I'm torn ... I don't want to leave against better judgement but I don't want to stay. Yes, I have issues but HEY I now know how to post pics so there's that.
