Worst one for me, in north AL, was Ivan. It was still a hurricane north of Birmingham. We had gusts of hurrican force here. It was a tropical storm over us. Ivan just wouldn't die. It even came back around for another pass at the Gulf.

OK now I'm gonna double my meds ... I don't want to leave (I know I'm crazy slack) but I can't take my cat (lol all you people want) but I can't leave him.

I've got a beautiful sunflower field that we're selling flowers from/offering photo sessions to raise money for St. Jude that will be DESTROYED by this. (Who knew you could raise $4000 in about a month from sunflowers???!!)

Ike did the same thing. Maintained "tropical" status all the way until it got over Lake Michigan, reformed into a tropical storm and wreaked havoc on the Ohio Valley area.

that's the current GFS model run

as we always say... 1 model does not a forecast make

but someone last page said something about the GFS going ham so I went to look it up and see what it was spitting out

Yeah supernovasky was huge in that big flood we have a few years ago. He currently runs the subreddit tropicalweather and the associated discord.
