Ice Cold kind of hit on this a few pages back. Basically neither her nor anyone else in the city is equipped or has the knowledge for this type of project so they are differing to someone or multiple sources and presenting themselves to the public as subject matter experts.

They don't know what they don't know until they don't know it.

Chief mustache was the point man from day one and haven’t heard anything from him in a while.

Did he lose his rank?

I wish places like New Orleans and Baton Rouge could actually elect people that gave a shite. Regardless of sex or race. The shitty politics and agendas trickle down to every public sector...most of all judges and Police leadership agendas. If you want to call it leadership.

Finally somebody gets it. Stop electing regardless of skin color, religion, or R or D behind their name. Look for person to do the best job with leadership and can get things done and not afraid to stand up for whats right.

thats the problem though..the choices are almost always between bad and worse. You have to go in there, hold your nose and pick one

4 of the last 5 have been black. It's not relevant bringing up all 51 mayors.

Should we look at say the last 3 elections? Would that be more relevant?

True, look at Edwards and Rispone. The problem I had is that many here touted Rispone as the second coming. Instead of saying, you know, both these guys suck and corrupt and will do whatever is best for the $$$ backers.

I’m sorry, I thought we were making chocolate cities and shite?

No, that was Nagin, the mayor given to us by the business community.
And LaToya - compliments of Grigsby and his organization.

Tell me why NOLA keeps getting National Championships, Super Bowls, All-Star games, Final Fours, etc? The city has something to offer 12 months a year. The infrastructure is set up to host big events. The FQ from Esplanade to Canal St. and all the way down to the Convention Center is set up to host events.

The Zoo and Aquarium are world class. The new Children's Museum is world class. City Park is finally starting to shine. While every other state is doing nothing right now we're gearing up for Mardi Gras. Then Festival season.

If this city ever gets it's shite together and starts electing officials that aren't giant fricking crooks it could really be something special.

But what does Cantrell have to do with a project that started building in 2016 and not even in her council district? I 'm no apologist for her but she is having to deal with Landrieu's utter neglect during his last term. Landrieu helped push through that Hard Rock deal and kissed Kailas arse big time.

She is a politician through andthrough. She is in a tough spot on the Hard Rock though, they cannot get the bodies without risking the lives of those recovering, looks bad but would you rather more dead because that is a real risk?

Kailas is the problem and Citadel knows damned well what happened and why it happened. Cantrell is just recovering her travel fund

So in your opinion Rispone wasn't capable of leadership and getting things done?
