No. Cope Cages are a joke as well but by bolt on, i meant reactive armor which looks "bolted on) which is basically like plastic explosives other outside to make the projectile explode outside the tank. Reactive armor isn't touching a sabot round. A HEAT, yeah. But a sabot doesn't care about reactive armor. And don't let HEAT ( high explosuve anti tank) fool you...you're not slinging HEAT at tanks, only sabot. HEAT is for light skinned armor, trucks, berms and fortifications, etc.
I know what you meant but the cope cages are a bigger joke

And I've been quite open in this very thread about my experiences abroad.
Sorry, hoss. Not sifting through a 900+ page thread to read about some admin shite that you did.

You haven’t done shite. It’s clear. Some low level military shite and you think it provides you with some great insight. You pushed some papers that a paper pusher’s paper pusher passed across your desk.
I know your type.
So how much time have you spent overseas at high level decision making processes that you know "my type"? I'm sure you can detail it, since you have such extensive experience abroad with "my type"?

I never got to shoot at those. I did shoot at reactive armor.

You’re a “high level decision” maker? I bet.

I never said that. But for you to assess me at being a low level paper pusher, that must mean you are a high level decision maker that knows that I'm such. So I'm sure it will be very easy for you detail exactly why I'm such, and why I'm wrong, based on your extensive foreign decision making experience at high levels.
I look forward to your expertise in the matter.

There’s only one person in this conversation that has made appeals to authority and claims of exclusionary expertise, and it most assuredly was not me.

I wonder if the Russians will ever learn that trying to make a tank with a low profile and save weight by trying to replace armor with bolt on gimmicks doesn’t work?

And you're the only person recently that has come in this thread and shite all over everything without a anything resembling a supporting argument.

This thread did not need to be unstickied

Meh. I was just shitting all over your tired, trite, attempt to goad people on the right into supporting this admin’s shite in this mess. As if a reasonable people couldn’t take the Mercutio plague position here.

Thought the exact same thing. All too easy to figure that one out.

I'm not blaming you man. The Abrams is a beast. I went through Stryker Leader's Course and it was funny as hell watching the armor guys vs. the infantry guys when it came to dismount
It is interesting how our experiences shaped us all differently. Being lt inf I didn't want to have anything to do with armor, didn't even want it to be in my AO, and damn sure didn't want to be inside it. If I needed heavy firepower that's what the redlegs, rotor heads, and fast movers were for plus once they finished the job they disappeared and didn't leave a big neon sign over me saying look at us which let me melt back into my cover and concealment.
A tanker would think I was nuts as would a pilot but I think they are both crazy.

What a reference… you must be so well read!

Tell me more about how abandoning the offensives against Kiev and Kahrkiv were brilliant military strategies by Putin comrade.

And all of you on the ground would shite bricks if someone suggested you go in to an AO without the support of the others. Brothers fighting the most and all that jazz.

What a shame this got unstickied.

It was bound to happen. Most people don't give a shite about this conflict because they don't understand the geopolitical implications of it.
We're a soft nation that hasn't faced conflict in almost a hundred years. We simply assume this is the way it will always be, and that nothing outside of our borders can change that.

Well I've perused this site for years before I actually joined, and this may have been one of the better ones, considering the amount of differences most had domestically.
I hope they change their mind, whoever did it.

Unfortunately it's become a highly politically-charged thread due to the influx of...certain....posters.
They're probably getting tons of complaints that this should be on the poliboard, even though this extends far beyond our petty domestic politics. But only a few of us seem to understand that.
