I loved this thread because it felt like people from both sides could finally come together to support America’s national interests without inserting their personal politics into the equation.

You’re just assuming that America’s national interests are being directly involved in Ukraine?

Why are you even posting here?

America doesn't have a national interest in Russia invading sovereign nations that would have a direct impact on global commodity prices and access to important elements such as neon? America doesn't have a national interest in the global destabilization that would result in Russia controlling one of the largest grain exporters on this planet?

Why are you posting here? What the frick kind of question is that? It’s an anon7-ublic message board for Christ’s sake.
You people.

Feel free to provide evidence of this that does not involve the Russian Ministry of Defense, RT, or QAnon.
Oh, and also feel free to detail how much time you've spent outside the US interacting with other parts of the world. Let's see if my theory stays true.
Hey cocksucker, I spent 7 years at the DOJ doing international anti-corruption work -- mostly with Latin American matters, but did enough work in Eastern Europe to know that powerful people within our own federal government let Ukrainian corruption slide. For some reason Ukrainian green-card marriages and US government contracts never got the same scrutiny that every other ones got. Care to explain why? Hopefully your online "degrees" in political science doing foreign and security policy can explain it all for us!

The most corrupt country on the continent is Russia. Ukraine is ranked 122 on the Corruptions Perceptions Index and Russia is ranked as 136. LINK
Oh forgive me, I meant the second most corrupt country in Europe. You're right, WeeWee, your Wikipedia article shows that Ukraine is completely trustworthy and can handle a blank $40 billion dollar check without any strings attached!

Again, name names.
And...to take a page out of your game plan. DOJ? Why should I trust anything your corrupt piece of shite has to say? You're no better than the Ukrainians.

Russia invading sovereign nations
This in itself is problematic from a national interest standpoint. That's all it took to sway me.
Tell a country it is full of 20th century nazis and then invade to cleanse. Rinse and repeat.

I can think of quite a few things that are more important to our national interests that we’re not addressing. Why is this one so important?

Do you not understand what global destabilization of the commodities market would do to this country, that Biden hasn't already done?
I get it. You hate globalism. I don't particularly like it either. But you can either recognize what it is, and what has to be done to maintain stability, or bury your head in the sand and wonder why the world went to shite.
I mean if you're a prepper, you're probably set. Otherwise, you're fricked. Especially when the cities start burning.

This may be the first time in recent history they got push back.

It amazes me to see people sitting back enjoying the past 100 years of peace and easy living in this country, and not having a goddamn clue how that has been maintained.
Pro-tip: It's involved blunting upstarts like Russia and China, both militarily and economically. This is just a hot phase of the same cold war that's been going on since WWII ended. This war has the benefit of three things: one, makes Russia look like paper tiger they are. Two, has gotten Sweden and Finland to get off the fence. Three, has show China they don't want to frick with the west anytime soon. All with minimal bloodshed on the grand scheme.
That doesn't take away the sacrifices Ukrainians are making each day. I'm just speaking to the geopolitical aspect of this war. If Ukraine comes out of this on the other side, they will be one of the most well equipped and trained militaries in Europe and NATO. That's a good thing, along with 800km of border that Finland shares with Russia. Finland who pushed Russia's shite in in WWII. I've already spoken to the rabid dog that is Poland.

If you've done government work at all, you know there's not really names to name. Your orders come down from your boss/supervisor and they get the same thing. It's a don't ask questions and do what you're told type of business. It's one of the reasons I'm out of gov work and a business owner now.

But somehow you trust sending a no-strings-attached $40,000,000,000 to these same untrustworthy Ukrainians. Interesting...

Nah. I just distrust the crooks I know better. It's why I laugh when people throw around the OMG UKRAINE ARE CORRUPT.
bullshite. They don't hold a candle to the US. Stones and glass houses.
Sorry, but your initial posts make you nothing more than a conspiracy theory nut who's so far up Putin's arse simply because you hate Biden that believing anything you have to say is a stretch.
If trump was in office right now, you'd be 100% team Ukraine. Bigly.
