Uh oh Fed Bear, the lynch mob is after you. They will probably get the admins or twitter execs to ban you for not being under their spell.

Putin won’t stop.

If Putin wins and gains a border that touches Poland and Romania he will use it to undermine those countries/societies. Putin's idea of a "buffer zone" enables him to extend his reach and to meddle and destabilize nations over time. Just look what he has done to Ukraine by the way of Donbass and what he continues to do to Georgia by way of South Ossetia. Georgia continues to lose land each year because the Russian "peacekeepers" in South Ossetia continue to shift the border fence. I don't believe Putin will invade Romania or Poland (he would get his arse handed to him) but he will work to destabilize them internally. There are already calls on Russian State media that Poland needs to be "denazified".

I can’t wait for Putin’s speech tomorrow on Victory Day. He will be unhinged. No telling what he will do or say. I say he does not declare war, but I might be wrong.

If there are indeed coup machinations underway, they are probably in overdrive at this moment.

I don't think that there is a chance in hell of any coup occurring in Russia. Putin's popularity has actually increased and there are reports that Russian generals and hardliners are actually pushing Putin to "hit Ukraine harder". The opposition to Putin has either fled the country,is in jail or is dead. He is currently purging the FSB. There is actually a well known economist that Putin put in jail before this all started, but Putin has released him and he is the guy who is currently working on ways to get around the western sanctions. Putin is pulling a Stalin type maneuver here just like Stalin did with some generals in WWII. The west has pushed Navalny in the past but in actuality he really doesn't have that much support there. IMO the only danger to Putin is if he loses and then the hardliners replace him.

Part of me really wants Ukraine to try something ballsy and bomb the parade, but then my logical brain kicks in and worries that might solidfy the Russian populace into a conflict and have this thing be a whole lot worse.

Who do you think put them in those positions to start with? You are not an Oligarch in Russia unless Putin allows it or put you in that position. Ask the Oligarchs that Putin removed in the 2000's how they fared against him. Putin has stolen billions because his piggyback is the entire Russian economy. If Putin goes, do you think that his chosen Oligarchs will be able to survive? Those Oligarchs would suddenly lose their source, access and their enabler. If Putin goes, his buddies go with him. Another gang of mobsters will take over. Russia's kleptocracy operates just like the mob. The higher that you go in that system the more you are able to steal. But the unspoken fact is you better be careful who you steal from. In other words, the lower levels don't get too greedy and don't encroach on ground that the system forbids you to.

Send a cruise missle straight into the parade. There's nothing left in Mariupol anyway.

Nikolai Gogol would appreciate this absurdity.

I suspect he will say, “”everything is on schedule and according to plan, western intervention and meddling is increasing the toll, but victory is a certainty.”

I am confused. I thought their hold on Kherson was tenuous at best.

It is. They have tried to have two sham elections the first was cancelled when Kherson proper was attacked by rockets. The next attempt all the Russian election officials turned up with severe cases of lead poisoning.

If they were putting cruise missiles in there or anti-aircraft missiles, I would think so?
