I wouldn’t rule anything out. Including legitimate economic warfare in the form of crashing European markets to the detriment of his own currency. I expect he will take the if I’m going down, you’re going with me approach if it comes to that.

PJ Media article saying Russia will win this war
This is a pretty depressing article saying that Russia will win this war by destroying Ukrainian industry and cities that will be smashed to rubble. All Putin needs to prevail is heavy artillery. So at least this author thinks Putin is in no hole. I got this off a conservative new aggregation site. But it runs contrary to much that is written about Ukraine's ability to prevail. So for those who don't care to read the article, the gist is with time on his side, Putin will win and there is nothing Biden or the west can do about it. We will see.

First off, I'm a huge Glenn Reynolds fan. I've been following him since 2005 before PJ Media was even a thing.
Having said that, you have to filter PJ Media articles just like you have to Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc.
This article is shite, and highly slanted...for whatever reason. And the author hasn't even the basic understanding of strategic or tactical warfare.

quote:this was the question I looked into today. It’s my understanding its both. Looting was ok’d from commanders and troops were told they would be hauling arse in hours to “purge” before heading back north and east. Postage paid from Belarus to hometown on all items with transport trucks provided. Some executions were town officials on a list. Others were just wrong place wrong time. The rapes were ok’d from FSB types. Some troops they’ve been told they won’t be going back to Kiev area others they’ve been told they will and the terror inflicted in the last 24 hours will serve as notice to townspeople nothing is off the board. Apparently old school military commander types are hearing what’s happened and some are onboard while others are staring at their own apocalypse now moment. You’ll start hearing radio cell phone chatter intercepts in the next couple of days. This will confirm the above. In all likelihood there will be a half arse attempt to take Kiev again but really land bridge to Crimea will be the focus at the end of April beginning of May.
NKVD style death squads or mobs of defeated, undisciplined troops on a killing spree

Just going off of your synopsis that is pure idiocy lol. Artillery alone won’t even come close to winning this “war”. Russia either figures out how to actually sustain gains and occupy the territory they advance on or they might as well leave now. The idea they can pound Ukrainians to death with artillery is laughable

I wonder how many missiles like the ones taking out the alligator boats in Mariupol Odessa has. Didn't they also sink a freighter in the harbor?

You’re gonna need to link some of this shite.

You're pre-CBRN? Damn bro, you got the invites for your impending funeral ready yet?
Oh yeah, by a long shot. When I originally took the oath we were wearing green BDUs, Humvees were new, the USSR was still a thing and hot wars were a distant memory. I "lucked out" though within just a few months I got to invade a country (Panama). My mom swears I willed the US away from the peacetime Army because I had wanted to go to war since I was 4 years old listening to reports of Vietnam on the radio in the car. I hate war now but am still utterly fascinated by it.

Why is this so needed?

Putin doesn’t have time on his side. The deliveries that are continuing this evening that started 9-10 days ago have swung the momentum, again I’m not talking about the switchblade loitering drones that have already been used effectively yesterday and today to wipe out two 8-10 vehicle armoured convoys. End of April is the very quickest that Russia could think about another push and by then it will have been too late. The little morale boost in the last 24-36 hours is going to cost Russia dearly.

Damn grandpa, let me help you cross the street.
Hell I feel old for rocking BDUs then ACUs. Although I did have the OEF multicam prior to it becoming standard OCP. I was out soon after.

A view to the opposite is that Ukraine can defeat Russia to the extent of pushing them out of their country.
I do not know if that is realistic. I hope it is.

Which also frees up the Ukrainian troops to redeploy to the South and East as well.
The western media hasn't reported on Uk troop positions but supposedly much of their army has been in the east and the Donbass in particular for the entire war. At least numbers wise. Many of their best units and a lot of the gear being sent to them by NATO was given to the forces defending the capital but the bulk of the army was always in the east. It's what makes their apparent victory in the Kiev fighting all the more impressive IMO.

They had 24 in February, Russian anti ship missiles. They have much better stuff now.

This is why western media is about as reliable as Russian media. They are acting solely at the direction of Western intelligence and defense agencies.

Anything that says "Russia is crushing Ukraine! Here's ten reasons why!"
Same with "Ukraine is crushing Russia! Here's ten reasons why!"

To save face. That’s the theory anyway.

You don’t have to of course. But if you think I’m going to believe your old buddy from the Czech Republic ministry of agricultural affairs or whatever it is you’re sorely mistaken. So unless you’re willing to state out right that you have some sort of intel source in a legitimate intelligence agency and post his name and position on here then I’m not going to take you seriously.
Your post above was honestly ridiculous. “Mass raping approved by the FSB”. GTFO
