Ukraine will want to shift some of their troops to the south themselves. It will be a chess match who moves how much and how much they leave in place.

The question now is does Russia regroup at the border and attempt another assault on Kyiv or is too well defended at this point.
I just don't see it. They should reinforce their troops in the South and East in an effort to stop Ukraine from cutting off the Southern part of the country. Do that, continue to pound Mariupol and push toward Odessa.
At this point, taking the Capitol doesn't do much for them when it will likely be a bloody, months long war of urban combat. That's assuming they can even get into Kyiv proper.

I expect we see a major escalation from Russia over the next month.
It would appear that would have to come in the form of NBC because their conventional war-making ability is being seriously blunted.

push toward Odessa.
I think if RUS could do this, it would have been done.

Then if we drill further into that group, specifically a board dedicated to politics, odds are that group is very concentrated towards conservatives views. This isn’t complicated
So what is your point? Are their political beliefs to be marginalized?

My point is that all types of information is allowed on the poliboard. It's up to you to determine if it's bullshite or not.
As opposed to hyper-curated sites like Reddit that only allow one specific, progressive, point of view.
It's fun being downvoted by the people who upvoted my posts just a page ago.
The "my team is the right team" fanboism on this thread is amusing, no matter which side I fall on.

What is NBC?
Nuclear Biological Chemical
Technically NBC is old school (which I am) and has been replaced by CBRN with the R being radiological.

They withdrew essentially all the troops in the North. They're likely to be redeployed to the South and East. That changes things simply by the numbers.
We're about to enter an entirely different period of this war. It could very well get much bloodier.

Watching this issue tie already fragile people into knots has been like none other.

Ukrainian propaganda > Russian propaganda

Which also frees up the Ukrainian troops to redeploy to the South and East as well.

You're pre-CBRN? Damn bro, you got the invites for your impending funeral ready yet?

After the failed airborne assault near Kyiv, they may have been reluctant to try the amphibious operation that always seemed imminent.

Or does Ukraine has the ability to send troops East to sandwich Russian troops?
As long as Putin keeps his army near Kyiv even if he’s not actively attacking Ukraine can’t move significant forces to the west or south without leaving Kyiv vulnerable IMO.

Fortunately, evacuations have been successful in the South. Hopefully, the cities where those who stayed in country were relocated will have a heads up on coming conflicts in those cities. Of course, we're likely to see the same shitshow with humanitarian corridors being sketchy as we have already seen if evacuations continue. Russia, having pivoted to their "plan B", likely won't be even as receptive to those corridors as they were.

Maybe, but I’ve always thought Russia’s overall goal was to take everything west of the Dniepr River.
