If this is the same poster I’ve suffered with on the soccer board over the years this will be the first post we will have completely agreed on. Russia won’t come back from this. Whether they are held responsible at the Hague is another matter. I remember when they arrested slobo and ratko and I know the numbers of Generals and colonels and commanders killed will continue to grow and that is of some comfort but there is something dark in the souls of these men that would do this.

Trying to get caught up in this thread, but it seems Ukraine is literally stacking up Russians like cordwood in at least one of the pics a few pages back.

There has been a lot of "they are not sending their best" in regards to Russia since the war started. While most of it is now gone here I happened on this video last night that does a good job at dispelling that myth objectively. The video is 27 minutes long but is interesting if someone wants to see an objective look at the open-source data and how it does not support this opinion. One of the main points it makes is that open-source data shows a higher percentage of first-tier equipment kills, a higher percentage than Russia even claims is in their inventory. This is the exact opposite you would expect if they weren't sending their best or even if they were sending a perfect cross section of their equipment. If anything you would expect a higher percentage of the older equipment like T72s since they are more vulnerable, though I suppose someone could argue the Ukrainians are targeting the best when they are aiming their Javelins.

The translator for Face the Nation this morning while doing his job and speaking about this point was close to breaking down. I think he pulled himself together at the last second but your could hear his voice crack and what sounded like wiping tears.

This is horrible and getting to the point I'd be okay going scorched earth on any Russians in Ukraine. At some point we can't allow this... Russia has crossed the line.

If those Russian forces responsible for Bucha have already retreated into Belarus, full scale blockade of Belarus and Russia.
Cut off anything and everything until the forces responsible are identified and extradited for prosecution of war crimes. Maybe it would spur the Belarussians to finally rid themselves of Lukashenko.
