What really disturbs me is so many have adopted or believe that Ukraine is full of Nazis. They believe Putin's lies that he has so!d to the Russian people. They have no clue as to the reality or facts of the Maidan Revolution of 2014. They believe that the Ukrainian people had nothing or little to do with getting rid if Putin's stooge Yanukovych. They believe that the CIA was 100% responsible for it. The US did support it but they were not the deciding factor. The Ukrainian people were. They have no clue that Ukraine had been shifting hard to the west even before 2014. They absolutely reject the facts of what that thug Yanukovych was and what he did in regards to lying about signing the trade agreement with the west and then turning around and signing a huge agreement with Putin instead. He then was granted dictatorial powers and brought in Russians from Crimea and used them as police state thugs and snipers who killed many people in the streets. He stole billions from Ukraine. They reject the facts about what Putin did in Crimea and even worse in the Donbass. He came close to losing his power when he lost Ukraine. He had to take Crimea to save himself. Losing Crimea and that naval base would have been the worst strategic disaster for Russia in 100 years. He only invaded the Donbass after Ukraine's new government signed the trade agreement with the west. He granted hundreds of thousands of Russian passports to Donbass citizens and then prevented them from leaving the occupied territory. It was either accept the passports and go to Russia for food or starve. He then could claim that he was protecting "Russian citizens". He used his little green men to invade and called them separatists. He used his Wagner group thugs that was founded by a Neo-Nazi.
Putin has to destabilize Ukraine to prevent it from eventually joining the EU. Putin cannot afford to have a properous, democratic Ukraine on his border.
I will give you an example of how dishonest Putin is and how he cannot be trusted. The Minsk Agreement called for Ukraine to negotiate with the two Donbass regions. Each side would send delegates to the negotiations. Ukraine balked after discovering that the selected delegates from the Donbass weren't even from there. They were from Russia and were actually real Russians citizens pretending that they were from the Donbass region!
You can't trust Putin!!!

March 18, 5:30pm ET
Ukrainian forces conducted a major successful counterattack around Mykolayiv in the past several days, and Russian forces continued to secure territorial gains only around Mariupol on March 18. Russian forces face growing morale and supply problems, including growing reports of self-mutilation among Russian troops to avoid deployment to Ukraine and shortages of key guided munitions. The Ukrainian General Staff continued to report on March 18 that Russia has failed to achieve its strategic objectives in Ukraine, including destroying the Ukrainian Armed Forces, capturing Kyiv, and establishing control over Ukraine to the east bank of the Dnipro River—the first time the Ukrainian General Staff included this territorial conquest as an explicit Russian objective. The Ukrainian General Staff additionally stated that Ukrainian forces “continue step by step to liberate the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in all directions” on March 18, the first Ukrainian mention of conducting counterattacks “in all directions.”
Key Takeaways
The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russia has “significantly exhausted its human resources” due to battle casualties, cases of self-mutilation to avoid deployment, and psychological factors.
Ukrainian forces likely conducted a successful counteroffensive against Russian forces around Mykolayiv in the past several days.
The ability of Ukrainian forces to conduct a successful major counterattack indicates Russian forces attempting to encircle Mykolayiv likely overstretched, and Russian forces are unlikely to have the capability to resume offensive operations toward Odesa in the near term.
Russian forces did not conduct any offensive operations northwest or northeast of Kyiv on March 18.
Russian forces continue to make steady progress reducing the Mariupol pocket.
Ukrainian forces halted a Russian attempt to advance southeast of Kharkiv, through the city of Izyum, in the past 24 hours. Russia is deploying additional reserves to reinforce the Kharkiv axis of advance.
Russian and proxy forces made minor territorial gains north of the city of Severodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast and will likely assault the city itself in the next 24-48 hours.
Ukrainian military intelligence created an official website to provide support and guidance to Ukrainian fighters and civilians in Russian-occupied territory.

All that equipment sitting on deck exposed to the salt air will be in great shape by the time it gets to Ukraine.

Waste of time and effort. Putin does not care about anyone's opinions except his.

Watching Putin’s speech where the feed went out momentarily and was replaced by patriotic music, I told my wife that this is where the coup was supposed to take place. The guy at the studio did his job, but the FSB trigger guys got cold feet.

I know he addressed Putin but it wasn't meant for him.

Customs duties in rubles will be credited only between #Belarus and #Russia. LINK

I am utterly amazed at the vast knowledge The OT on Ukraine and Russia. It is like they were born and raised there.

Putin must be pissed. He saved the Kazakhstan leader from a coup attempt just a few weeks ago.
Posted on 3/18/22 at 7:53 pm to Jim Rockford
He actually installed him after the existing government resigned. This stooge had been a diplomat in the Soviet Union and Moscow for years. Putin then sent in Russian troops to protect him. I then saw that Kazakhstan had refused Russia's request for assistance in Ukraine.

This makes 7 NATO Member Countries that have directly stated that they would Support a NATO Peacekeeping Mission into Ukraine, these Countries are Slovenia, Czechia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and now Denmark, there are rumors that France and Slovakia would also Vote Yes.

Woah!! When I first heard of the Polish proposal this week I thought: yea, that will go no where.
Posted on 3/18/22 at 7:58 pm to LegendInMyMind
Denmark has a small military but they are no joke.
Posted on 3/18/22 at 8:00 pm to LegendInMyMind
So how does this work with these “peace keeping” forces? Do they go in and just try to maintain the humanitarian side of things and kind of dare Russia to engage them or what?
