Putin is a walking dead man, is just a question of who pulls the trigger at this point, and when it happens. It could be weeks, months or years.
I know a lot of people here haven’t traveled a lot to Europe, etc, but Americans often vastly underestimate the impact of WW1 and WW2 on them. We have pearl harbour, they have a million pearl harbours. It impacted everyone there dramatically, they have seen this game before and know where it ends up, and I am sure the scared shitless over all of this.
When the swiss abandon neutrality, and the Germans abandon their constitution to send weapons those are earth shattering moves. Behind the scenes they are preparing for war.
Germans are really good at it btw. They aren’t going to just blow this off anytime soon. We aren’t going back to normal anytime soon.
Meanwhile the fricking Chinese are getting ready to bail Russia out. If we let this happen the odds of WW3 starting soon go up 500% at least.
We need to threaten to boycott everything made there now, and by we I mean the free world.
Any support for this shite by any arab or african country should label them as supporting terrorist or a terrorist state, by everyone as well and cut them off. They aren’t getting help from Russians rn.

This would be the most worrisome part - but I feel optimistic that with the way things have played out and Russia showing that it really does not have a great hand (or even a good one), that the Chinese will just mumble their way through this and stay out of it.
Their ultimate goal is to come out of this strong in a way that helps them - there is not a reality where they can throw enough assets, manpower, or intelligence at Russia to pull them out of this mess. They can, however be position themselves to have a strong say about how Russia gets handled once this is over. I cannot help but think that is what they are most focused on.

Russia is hampered by a very strong top down control/decision making system that hampers/cripples their decision making process. By the time the intel has run through the decision making channels the intel is too old to act on to be effective.
