If any of you want to see some international political/military trolling you can check out @Rogozin. I won't link it here.

I found an obscure documentary on NF the other night about Rasputin which was pretty interesting. Him, the Romanovs etc. Stumbled across a wild blog from a woman (No clue who she is) penned in early 2021. It's a bit long but it's amazing how Nostradamus-like it was.

If you get bored later, check this out (and don't just stop at the Biden bashing lol)

Anticipating the calls of “the BBC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pentagon” responses, here’s yet another (edit: I originally used ‘debunking’ here. I hesitate to use that word just yet, so let’s call it a ‘very reasonable explanation’) of the “bio weapons in Ukraine” canard.

BBC

quote:

Russia has accused the US and Ukraine of working with "pathogens of dangerous infections" in 30 laboratories across the country. Pathogens are microorganisms that can cause disease.

quote:

Ukraine has dozens of public health laboratories that work to research and mitigate the threats of dangerous diseases. Some of these labs receive financial and other support from the US, the European Union and the World Health Organization (WHO) - as is the case in many other countries. Despite Russian claims that these are "secret" labs, details of US involvement can be found on the US embassy's website.

quote:

Additionally, the US set up its "Biological Threat Reduction Program" in the 1990s following the fall of the Soviet Union to reduce the risk from biological weapons that had been left behind in countries including Ukraine.

Under this programme certain labs receive funding from the US for modernisation and equipment, but are managed locally, not by the US. The US Department of Defense has been working in partnership with Ukraine's Ministry of Health since 2005 to improve the country's public health laboratories. The US provides technical support and, according to the US Embassy in Ukraine, "works with partner countries to counter the threat of outbreaks (intentional, accidental or natural) of the world's most dangerous infectious diseases".

There is no evidence that they work to produce biological weapons. In January, the US said its programme does the opposite and in fact aims to "reduce the threat of biological weapons proliferation". There have been similar unsubstantiated claims by Russia in the past about US-backed biolabs operating in its neighbouring countries.

quote:

Russian officials have also claimed Ukraine has tried to conceal evidence of prohibited activities. Gen Igor Kirillov said documents uncovered by the Russian military in Ukraine on 24 February - the day the Russian invasion started - "show that the Ministry of Health of Ukraine has set the task of completely destroying bio-agents in laboratories". "The Pentagon knows that if these documents fall into the hands of Russian experts, then it's highly likely that Ukraine and the United States will be found to have violated the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons," he said.

quote:

BBC News has been unable to independently verify the documents cited by General Kirillov. The WHO has told BBC News that it had advised Ukraine to destroy high-threat pathogens stored at the country's public health labs to prevent "any potential spills" that would spread disease among the population. The agency said it had collaborated with Ukrainian public health labs for several years to enhance biosafety and biosecurity and help prevent "accidental or deliberate release of pathogens".

The WHO did not say when the recommendation had been made nor whether it was followed. It also did not provide details of the kind of pathogens stored at Ukrainian labs. However, the US said Ukraine's health ministry had ordered the "safe and secure disposal of samples" after Russia's invasion to limit the risk in the event of a Russian military attack. "There are no indications that Ukrainian labs have been involved in any nefarious activity, or any research or development in contravention of the Biological Weapons Convention," says Filippa Lentzos, a biosecurity expert at King's College London. She adds that pathogens stored at biological labs are simply bacteria and viruses, and "not blueprints or components of biological weapons". "The reason they are kept in secure facilities is for bio-safety, so people don't make themselves sick by getting access to them."

quote:

Gen Kirillov also claimed that the highly militarised nature of the work at Ukrainian bio-labs is confirmed by "excess number of bio-pathogens" stored there. But Dr Lentzos says this argument does not follow any logical science.

"The numbers don't really matter, you can easily grow pathogens in a lab" starting from a small sample. "These labs publish in openly available literature. They collaborate on many public health projects with global partners," says Brett Edwards, a senior lecturer in security and public policy at the University of Bath.

I mean, there are only so many words that can describe an invasion where civilians are blatantly being targeted.

Unfortunately, it seems like the tiktok briefings from the White House are going to be a regular thing for the war.

I assume they've been in place for everything other issue for the past year

And the average Tik tok personality doesn’t know those words. Or at least they didn’t until the White House told them the words.

If anyone was wondering whether or not the US was conducting a propaganda campaign against Russia, the White House briefing tik tok personalities should leave no doubt.

That is exactly what I am saying Legend. Good to see not everyone is propaganda loving sheep who don't know history.

Stalin was a paranoid lunatic who killed thousands of commanders for nothing. It was one of the many reasons they struggled so bad early on when Germany invaded. They had very few experienced or qualified commanders in the field or overall.

Putins commanders have failed miserably and went against the one thing Putin is somewhat straight on. According to intelligence reports defense spending is the one thing Putin expects to be on the up and up. Come to find out many of his cabinet members and military heads have gotten greedy/lazy and it is showing spectacularly.

In particular equipment upkeep was something detailed. A lot of knockoff parts, tires, etc were purchased and the money pocketed. Even some of the better equipment sold off, some people are going to pay dearly.

So we Russians with us again. “Hello Comrades, how are things in Moscow this week? I am hearing you are all going to starve and/or freeze to death this Winter. I hope you have lots of vodka left. See you in Hell soon enough.”

People who didn't weren't old enough to appreciate the cold war would do well to be reminded the Eagle and the Bear are not friends.

I'm sure they're trying to get our perspective out there where the most people will see it, unfortunately in our country that means tik tok or Instagram.

He actually ended up bringing some of those generals back that he hadn’t killed. A famous one being Konstantin Rokossovsky. He was famous for his “steely smile”. He had most of his teeth removed in torture sessions by the Soviets that were eventually replaced with steel dentures. Can you imagine fighting for a government that had put you through that level of torture?

Propaganda is not inherently a bad thing.

There are three types of propaganda

White propaganda, telling the truth.

Black propaganda, telling lies.

Gray propaganda, mixing truth and lies, or spinning the facts in your favor.

Radio Free Europe is an example of white propaganda, legitimate news reporting from an American perspective. Press conferences are a form of propaganda. Cultural exchanges are a form of propaganda. Theres nothing wrong with it.
