So J D Vance is discussing the notion that the war could continue for years. That isn’t good for Rusdia.

The US did the same for the Vietnam War. They cut out student diferments. Ukraine isn’t doing anything new.

ISW update April 28 2025
quote:
Key Takeaways:
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced another unilateral ceasefire in Ukraine – this time in honor of a major Soviet and Russian military holiday, while continuing to reject the March 2025 US-Ukrainian 30-day general ceasefire proposal. Putin continues to refuse any ceasefire other than on terms that advantage his war effort.
Putin is leveraging unilateral ceasefires to achieve informational and battlefield advantages in Ukraine, counter to US President Donald Trump's goal of using a general ceasefire as a stepping stone towards an enduring and sustainable peace agreement in Ukraine.
Ukraine – in contrast to Russia – continues to demonstrate its support for Trump's desired full, permanent ceasefire.
The Kremlin continues attempts to hold legitimate ceasefire negotiations hostage in order to secure additional concessions from Ukraine and the United States.
Lavrov reiterated on April 28 Russia's longstanding demands for Ukraine's surrender and concessions from the West, as Russia continues to offer no concessions of its own.
Russian and North Korean officials touted the success of their joint military operations in Kursk Oblast in order to highlight the international community's inability to deter Russian efforts to involve its allies directly in Russia's war against Ukraine, as the Kremlin pledged to offer North Korea reciprocal active military support.
Russia is reportedly expanding its military infrastructure along its border with Finland and stockpiling new tanks, likely in preparation for future aggression against NATO.
Czech Defense Minister Jana Cernochová announced on April 27 that the Czech Ammunition Initiative will have delivered another 400,000 rounds of large-caliber artillery ammunition to Ukraine by April 30.
Russian forces recently advanced in Sumy Oblast and near Kupyansk, Siversk, Toretsk, and Novopavlivka.

The Kyiv Independent: On April 28, a 100+ drone strike hit the Russian high tech defense plant in Bryansk The plant manufactures components for missiles [Topol-M, Bulava, Iskander], radars, drones, and aircraft electronics.

Andrii Kovalenko [Ukraine’s National Security Council official] confirmed the plant was targeted. Russian Telegram channels supported the claim.

Alexander Bogomaz [Bryansk Oblast Governor]: Ukrainian forces launched a massive attack and claimed Russian air defenses intercepted 102 drones. Local media reported 10–15 explosions, one civilian killed, infrastructure and vehicles damaged. Footage showed fires across city.

Ukraine's Air Force struck a Russian drone launch site near the village of Tetkino in Russia's Kursk Oblast on April 19, Ukraine's General Staff reported on April 21.
The attack killed up to 20 drone operators, the statement read. Russian forces reportedly used the facility to prepare, equip, and launch reconnaissance, strike, and FPV (first-person-view) drones.
"Our strike is a tangible response to (Russia's) actions against the Ukrainian army," the General Staff said. "No war crime will go unpunished."

I started a conversation with Ukraine last week to purchase a refinery from me.
It has the latest technology to cut processing cost to make ULSD by 40%
I bet its technology far beyond even what Silicon Valley could produce

So FPV drones against an army you're engaged with are a war crime?
Ukraine is more reliant on drones than Russia is

Had they struck a missile site the war crime argument would have actual legs, given Russian's propensity to hit playgrounds and hospitals instead of actual military targets.

The IMF cut China’s 2025 growth forecast from 4.6% to 4.0%. Falling Chinese demand reduced Russian oil exports and revenues.
The MOEX [Moscow exchange] stock index fell by 10%. Russia’s oil and gas tax revenues fell by 17% year-on-year in March 2025, widening the federal budget deficit.
quote:
Mr Trump may be well disposed towards Mr Putin, but with his trade war he has kicked him in the teeth.
quote:
What is behind the sudden slowdown? Three explanations stand out. The first relates to what Russia’s central bank euphemistically calls the “structural transformation” of the economy. Having previously faced towards the West and accepted private enterprise (within limits), it has since 2022 become a war economy that faces the East. This transformation has required vast investment, not only in weapon and ammunition factories but also in new supply chains enabling more trade with China and India (as well as more production at home). By the middle of 2024 real spending on fixed capital was 23% higher than in late 2021.
quote:
The second factor is monetary policy. Russian inflation has been above the central bank’s target of 4% year on year for months, even surpassing 10% in February and March. Gung-ho military spending is one cause, but so is a shortage of labour caused by conscription and the emigration of skilled workers. Last year nominal wages rose by 18%, forcing companies to put their prices up. In response the central bank has tightened the screws. On April 25th it opted to keep its benchmark interest rate at a punishing 21%, its highest level since the early 2000s.
quote:
For Russia’s government, a small, gradual deceleration may be a price worth paying if that means taming inflation. The problem is that the slowdown is neither gradual nor small. This is because, in recent weeks, a third factor has come to dominate all others—external conditions have soured. As America’s trade war has escalated, global growth forecasts have plunged, and oil prices have followed. Economists are particularly concerned about China, the largest buyer of Russian oil. The IMF has cut its expectations of Chinese GDP growth in 2025 from 4.6% to 4%.

Isotherming developed by DuPont. Their Stratco alkylation is the refining industry standard.
But you don't know shiite from shinola about actual engineering technology.

You don't know what I know or don't know because I don't talk about engineering on here

What I do know is some bullshitting retard on a message board who is regularly extremely wrong about almost everything isn't involved in some revolutionary technology

You're a moderately proficient petro-bro who thinks they are an expert. Nothing special whatsoever. I could throw a rock in a random direction in Louisiana or Texas and hit someone twice as knowledgeable that is half as arrogant.
