Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Russia is preparing for a spring offensive in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts.

This is something to keep an eye on. I suggest this is why Putin is not particularly interested in a ceasefire right now. If Russia can launch a serious incursion, I do not think Ukraine can stop it. Does Russia have enough combat power and logistics chain to get to Kiev?

Another thought, the big majority of Ukraines combat power is tied up in the south and east of the country. Attacking Sumy and Chernihiv is a soft area in Ukraines defenses.

How is the railway infrastructure in that part of Ukraine, the Russians need rail access. There is a lot of rail in the south and east due to all the mines and factories.

The Russians have indicated a push in the South also. Zelensky said awhile ago that they had built up large forces in the North and the South. Both of these two groups of troops have been held in reserve and have not seen action yet according to him.

There is a lot of pressure in Russia to go to the Dnieper River.

I am interested to see how effective of an offense Russia can mount. This would be a good time to demonstrate that they learned from their early mistakes.

Its not how you start, its how you finish.

Elon has "contempt" for the Ukraine Bros

Starts at 37:00 is only a minute or so long

"I take offense for those who put the appearance of goodness over true goodness. Those who want thousands of kids to keep dying every week to 'stop Russia' even though the lines havent moved for two years. These kids are dying for nothing. I have contempt for such people."

They may think that they have worn Ukraine down enough to start big offenses. That with the weather fixing to improve. They didn't have the number of troops needed for what they tried at the beginning of the war. If Zelensky is telling the truth regarding the numbers that he stated in the those two build ups Ukraine is in trouble. We will see. Russia changed its tactics after they got pushed back in the beginning to a slow grinding war to deplete Ukraine of manpower. It has worked over the last 18-24 months. The Russian army has grown in numbers.

IMO they are going to try to take 8 oblasts up to the Dnieper if it takes another year or more to do it unless Trump pulls the plug. If he pulls the plug it will be over in less than a year. As long as the US continues to provide weapons and Intel Zelensky won't stop the war. The Russians are wanting Zelensky gone.

If Trump doesn't pull out totally he is going to inherit this disaster. There is nothing that can be done to improve Ukraine's situation that hasn't already been tried. Ukraine's situation will only get worse. If you think the terms are bad now, just let Ukraine collapse and the Russians reach that river and it will be really bad then.

There are fools in this thread that probably believe that Ukraine can still win or take back territory. That is pure delusion.

I agree, it is only downhill for Ukraine from here. The only real question is how effective Russias offense will be.

Obviously Ukraine is the big loser here, but Trump also losses a lot of face if Russia refuses to stop. It paints Trump into a corner, does he assist Ukraine or wipe his hands of it and take the lumps that will come.

The kids dies so Russia wouldn’t take over their country. We’ve had thousands of kids who died for a similar reason. Maybe if our kids hadn’t stepped up like Ukraine’s kids are now, Elon wouldn’t be a billionaire.

Trump has put himself in the middle of the fight and from my perspective Putin has made him look bad.

Trump will probably ease himself out, but I hope he realizes he had done more harm than good.

Putin stated that Russian troops have liberated 99% of the Lugansk People’s Republic, with over 70% of Donetsk, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions also under Russian control.

He emphasized that Russia had long sought a peaceful solution to the Donbass crisis, but Western curators urged Ukraine to fight “until the last Ukrainian” in hopes of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia. He added that the strategic initiative now lies fully with the Russian Armed Forces and expressed confidence that Ukrainian forces will be defeated.

Putin also took aim at the UK, calling its behavior aggressive despite having a small army and an economy ranked only 9th–10th globally.

Russians attack Naftogaz facilities overnight – production capacities damaged

28.03.2025 13:08

Overnight on March 28, Russian forces carried out their eighth attack this year on facilities belonging to the Naftogaz Group.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the company's press service.

“This latest strike is not just an attack on our infrastructure—it is an attempt to undermine the country’s energy stability. Our specialists are already working to mitigate the consequences and assess the damage. Restoration efforts will begin immediately to ensure an uninterrupted gas supply. I want to sincerely thank the Naftogaz team and all energy workers who prove every day that Ukraine’s energy system can withstand any challenge,” said Acting Naftogaz Chairman of the Board Roman Chumak.

It was noted that this was the 18th attack since the start of the full-scale war and the eighth since the beginning of 2025. No casualties were reported, but gas production facilities were damaged.

As previously reported, on March 18, U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The White House stated that Moscow agreed to a limited ceasefire targeting energy and infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.

On March 22-25, the United States and Ukraine held negotiations in Saudi Arabia, resulting in an agreement on a ceasefire concerning energy infrastructure targets.

The average age of a WWII soldier was 26-26...infantryman 21-22. The average age of a Ukrainian soldier is currently 43-45...never lower than 30-35.

Your comparison is garbage.

Let me know when their "kids" join in.

He will wipe his hands of it if he is smart.

Trump should have done this on his second day in office. He should have publicly and loudly stated the following:

This is not my war.

I did not start this war.

I will not continue a war that cannot be won. It is immoral to continue the killing.

From this day forward I am suspending all aid and intel. All US personnel that have been involved in assisting that effort will leave Ukraine and/or be brought back immediately. We are finished with Project Ukraine.

My God you are sick. This continued death and killing is for nothing. It is immoral. I use to give you some credit for being reasonable, but you have slipped into Cope and Lunatic Keith status. You three need to attend a Bernie/AOC rally to unleash your emotions/anger and hatred. Maybe Bagdad Bob of Kiev can come over and go with you. Just don't go on a Tesla spree afterwards.

Some of you people in this thread are bloodthirsty. As long as it's not your blood. Two things drive this among the diehards in this thread: 1. Their hatred of Trump and/or their hatred of Russians.

Ukraine cannot win this, but as long as Russians are dying you people cheer on its continuation. That is all that matters to you. It doesn't matter that thousands more Ukrainians are dying and their country is destroyed.

You are as bad as Cope. Some of you need to get a hold of your emotions and take a long look at yourself in the mirror.

What does a Bernie /AOC rally have to do with anything? Nothing. And I’m not cheering on thdd we war. Nothing would have made me happier than Trump riding in and brokering a cease fire which led to a real peace. Unfortunately he hadn’t been able to pull it off.

Isn’t that up to the Ukrainians to determine? Isn’t it their decision? Do they want to live uvdef Russian domination and if the answer IX no then yes I support them and their efforts to live in freedom.

Now you may not. You may feel that surrender and being subjugated is better. Fine, that’s your opinion, but I am In grateful to my forefathers and for the patriots who did fight under our flag decades ago so we can enjoy the freedoms we now have.

I’m glad they didn’t surrender. I’m glad thdd Ed French helped us. I’m glad the English, French and Canadians fought with us. I’m glad Ukraine fought with us in Afghanistan.

You need to look in the mirror. Peaceniks like yourself who want to surrender instead of fighting for what is yours encouraged people like Putin to start wars. You are part of the problem.
