Trump despises Ukraine on a personal level. (Burisma, Hunter/Joe Biden corruption, Deep State impeachment over the phone call, etc.) Trump also despises endless foreign wars wasting billions in taxpayer money. Lastly, Trump can’t stand the current political makeup of Europe. They rely on the US for everything ripping off taxpayers. They’re importing millions of muslim migrants destroying their culture and endangering/killing their people.
The ending won’t be pretty for Europe and Ukraine. We’re heading towards a 20th century return to nationalism and self reliance.

You are a hard core leftist also. A Biden/Kamala boy. I dont take anything you say seriously based on who and what you vote for. That alone establishes your IQ range. Anyone who would actually vote for that dumb bitch is not a serious person.

The Russians have crossed into Sumy from Kursk, somewhere around Sverdlikovo, and are attempting to cut the road to Sudzha.

Trump’s Pivot Toward Putin’s Russia Upends Generations of U.S. Policy
As peace talks opened in Saudi Arabia, President Trump made clear that the days of isolating Russia are over and suggested that Ukraine was to blame for being invaded.
Even as American and Russian negotiators sat down together on Tuesday for the first time since Moscow’s full-fledged invasion of Ukraine nearly three years ago, Mr. Trump has signaled that he is willing to abandon America’s allies to make common cause with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.
As far as Mr. Trump is concerned, Russia is not responsible for the war that has devastated its neighbor. Instead, he suggests that Ukraine is to blame for Russia’s invasion of it. To listen to Mr. Trump talk with reporters on Tuesday about the conflict was to hear a version of reality that would be unrecognizable on the ground in Ukraine and certainly would never have been heard from any other American president of either party.
In Mr. Trump’s telling, Ukrainian leaders were at fault for the war for not agreeing to surrender territory and therefore, he suggested, they do not deserve a seat at the table for the peace talks that he has just initiated with Mr. Putin. “You should have never started it,” Mr. Trump said, referring to Ukrainian leaders who, in fact, did not start it. “You could have made a deal.”

Ukraine refutes Putin's claims of Russian offensive from Kursk Oblast
by Tim Zadorozhnyy February 19, 2025 6:22 PM
Ukraine's General Staff refuted claims by President Vladimir Putin that Russian troops had launched an offensive into Ukraine from Kursk Oblast, spokesperson Dmytro Lykhovyi said on Feb. 19.
Putin told Russian media on Feb. 18 that Russian forces had crossed into Ukrainian territory from Kursk Oblast, a claim Lykhovyi has dismissed as part of a disinformation campaign.
"Since the beginning of the day, 12 combat engagements have been recorded in Kursk Oblast, three of which are still ongoing, while the rest have been repelled," Lykhovyi said.
During one of the attacks, Russian troops attempted to advance toward Ukraine's state border, according to Lykhovyi.

This thread is a fantastic resource for checking whose opinions can be valued going forward. There's being wrong and then there's killing a million of your own people for nothing wrong.

Well, Lavrov said that Ukraine should never have invaded Russia. (Even his Indian allies laughed at that.)

Things have changed, but peace through strength is still the best way for a better USA. Giving in regarding Ukraine is one thing, but cutting and running ftom Europe to curry favor from Russia at the same time is embarrassing.

I don't necessarily like Trump's tactics at first glance, but if Europe wants the war to continue and it's unclear if Zelensky is willing to make the concessions needed to end the war...
If Trump and Co. believe it's in the best interest of the US for the war to end ASAP, then bringing everything to a head like this makes some sense. Zelensky is a desperate guy who'll likely lash out and alienate partners and his own people as he's done before. That's true even if you think he's justified in his desperation (I think that argument is credible). Trump seemingly coordinating/orchestrating with Russia (even though I think it's largely leverage) is probably intended to drive home the reality of the lost cause here and either force Zelensky into realistic moves or further reduce his standing in Ukraine.
