The Russians are perpetual doomers. I wouldn’t take that too seriously.

We already know that Biden gave transportation to US contractors instead of the for free Ukrainian ones. We also know that not all of what was approved by Congress was even sent at all. Billions of arms and munitions expired before being sent. Expirations first began in 2022.

I wonder how many billions of that was just total waste and fraud? Exorbitant fees, political kickbacks, laundering, lack of resource management, theft, lack of a proper auditing system, etc.?
I have never heard of a more incompetent, corrupt administration.
Then
And on top of that you are dealing with one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
I hope that it is all exposed. That and what is now being exposed with USAID.

First off, I would really like to know who is claiming that Ukraine received $200 billion from the US.
Secondly, I hope some day that people will learn the difference between appropriated, obligated and disbursed.
Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2024 Funding Sources
As of September 30, 2024, the U.S. Ukraine response funding totals nearly $183 billion, with $130.1 billion obligated and $86.7 billion disbursed.
Congress appropriated $174.2 billion through the five Ukraine supplemental appropriation acts enacted FY 2022 through FY 2024, of which $163.6 billion was allocated for OAR and the Ukraine response. Additional funds of $18.2 billion were allocated from annual agency appropriations and $1.1 billion was allocated from other supplemental appropriation acts.
The attachment has an informative graph providing details on where the money went.
Ukraine Oversight
Also, Zelenskyy was talking specifically about military aid.
Ukraine has received military aid from the United States worth more than $70 billion, but claims that U.S. support has amounted to $100–200 billion are inaccurate, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
He stated this in an interview with The Associated Press, according to Ukrinform.
"As the president of a country at war, I can say that we have received more than $75 billion [in U.S. aid]. But the claims that Ukraine has received $100 billion out of the $177 billion total, or even $200 billion, as some say, are simply not true. This is important because we are talking about specifics -- we did not receive this aid in cash but in weapons. The total value of the weapons we received is just over $70 billion," Zelensky said.
He added that the U.S. has provided a variety of aid, including humanitarian and social programs, as well as training and education. However, he stressed that the claim that Ukraine has received $200 billion specifically for its military is misleading.

A lot of stuff Ukraine hasn't received from USAI because the Pentagon usually takes 6-12 months to issue contracts, and then deliveries are 12-18 months later.

Could also be an accounting scam like valuing old, mothballed but still useful equipment as if it is new and not in pre-disposal mode.

Politards likely cannot balance a personal checking account. How do you expect them to understand this.

So sad that so many here put their love of LARPing over their own country's well being.

Not surprised that you don't have the intellectual honestly to eat crow. Then again, you're too stupid to have learned from Vietnam, Iraq or Afghanistan so it kind of makes sense that you supported this Obama / Nuland / Biden boondoggle too.

ISW update Feb 2 2025
quote:
Key Takeaways:
Russian forces reportedly struck a dormitory holding Russian civilians in Sudzha, Kursk Oblast on February 1 as Russian authorities widely attempted to deny Russian responsibility for the strike and blame Ukraine.
Russia continues efforts to illegally deport Ukrainian children to occupied Crimea and Russia under the guise of evacuation and rehabilitation programs.
Ukrainian forces recently advanced near Toretsk, and Russian forces recently advanced near Lyman, Siversk, Chasiv Yar, Pokrovsk, and Velyka Novosilka.
Russian forces continue to forcibly mobilize civilians in occupied Ukraine into the Russian military in violation of the Geneva Convention.

"Andrii Hrebeniuk, the sergeant major of an infantry battalion, fighting in the Donetsk oblast town of Velyka Novosilka, said soldiers went awol 'pretty frequently'. 'Some return. Some don’t,' he said. 'It’s about morale more than injury. They need a psychological reset. They go and see their families and reappear after a couple of months.' Did he understand them? 'I don’t sympathise and I don’t condemn,' he replied.
Hrebeniuk’s mechanised brigade, the 110th, last week took the unusual step of saying it was critically short of personnel. It had enough drones and artillery, but no infantry, at a time of constant Russian attacks. 'We need to break the stereotype that if you join up you will be dead in five minutes,' Hrebeniuk said. He added: 'Simple things keep you alive, like digging in, cleaning your weapons, and paying attention during first aid training."

You see, I actually have the intellectual honesty to praise President Trump when he does things that I think are correct (like reviewing foreign aid to get rid of DEI crap), and to criticize him when he does things that I think are bad (like tariffs).
I literally have the intellectual honesty to follow my own beliefs. On the other hand, it's very dishonest to say "I agree with whatever my team says." That's how people end up saying that they are 100% pro-life and then end up supporting a guy for HHS secretary who fully supports abortion until birth.

Western states are covering 90% of their budgeted expenses.
Ukraine also doesn’t have enough aircraft support that.

They have 26 of them able to carry over 250,000 lbs each load. My former employer hired some to carry oil spill remediation equipment to an oil spill in the Andes mountains pre 2000.

JUST IN: Ukrainian President Zelensky says Ukraine only received around $75 billion of the $177 billion in aid sent by the United States. "I don't know where all this money is."

The examples that are coming out now of what this corrupt USAID funded are unbelievable. It was also a money laundering scam for Democrats. It was also used as a funding source for color revolutions and coups. They take US tax dollars, give to these NGO's to get around laws set by Congress. These NGO's do the dirty work for them. Government corruption at its highest level.
