Look from a Ukrainian’s perspective. Russian ruthlessness by Stalin and his Commies killed millions of Ukrainians before the Nazis ever invaded Ukraine.

And let's not forget that Stalin and Hitler were partners at the outset of WWII... Hitler just got impatient and invaded Russia sooner rather than later, as he'd planned.

The symbols predated even a unified Germany, much less Hitler.
Swastikas were on all Lunkenheimer (US OEM) valve made long before Hitler was an ejaculation and an egg. It was a sign of excellence.

Ukrainian nationalism will probably always be tied up with the Germans. The German created modern Ukraine at the end of WW1 when they established their client state there. And if that didn’t make the linkage permanent, WW2 did.

Really, you have no idea of Ukrainian history, about the Holdomor, the Iron Curtain, Ukrainians that fought with Russia in WWII, and Stalin’s ruthlessness.

So, for our Russia Bros here, I have some great news: Israel is sending its Patriot missile systems and all of its spare missiles to Ukraine. Israel is fully transitioning to an Iron Dome system and no longer needs the Patriots. This is all being facilitated by the Trump administration.
There have already been three US planes that have flown to Israel and picked up Patriot systems and missiles to take them to Ukraine.

Eastern Ukrainians are more likely to favour Russia and have family in Russia while western Ukrainians and residents of Kiev have been German-facing

There are parts of Eastern Ukraine that want to be part of Russia. And currently they are part of Russia and likely will remain part of Russia.

If we are talking about the cities of Luhansk and Donetsk, then yes, the people currently living there mostly want to stay with Russia. That's what happens when everyone who wants to live in Ukraine has to flee from their homes after an invasion and Russia imports thousands of Russians to live in their homes.

If all of Israel's Patriot systems and missiles end up going to Ukraine, then the Trump administration will have engineered about $10 Billion worth of aid to Ukraine without the USA having to give or spend anything.
It's worth noting that work on this deal was started by the Biden administration, but it's Trump's people who are completing it.
And, yes, I know that we are indirectly funding this through the aid that we give to Israel -- that's what makes this so beautiful.
