Not that much higher than the USA for the last 3 years.
Of course we are paying for the other side of the war.

Magically the MSM is a reliable source of facts.

More than the daily "Intelligence" reports listed here.

That is an amazingly sad thing to say, but truthful.

This is 100% correct. In reality this is Victoria Nuland, the Biden Administration and the Deepstate losing. They will try and blame Trump either way. President Trump should hold a press conference and make this clear.

Trump knew he would face this when he ran. That is water under the bridge. What he has to decide now is what is best for this country. This nation continues to make so many foreign policy disasters from Vietnam to the present. Think of the lives and treasure that have been thrown away over the past 60 years.

US to announce "substantial" military aid package for Ukraine in coming days – media

Oleh Pavliuk, Yevhen Kizilov — Tuesday, 7 January 2025, 20:48

The outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden plans to announce its final military aid package for Ukraine on Thursday, 9 January, which is expected to be "substantial".

Source: Associated Press, citing two US officials, as reported by European Pravda

Details: The official announcement of the US military aid package will coincide with the meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein format.

The AP sources did not specify the package's exact value, but indicated it would be significant. However, it seems unlikely that the remaining US$4 billion in funding authorised by Congress to the White House for Ukraine will be exhausted.

Officials stated that more than US$2 billion will likely be left for Donald Trump's future administration to manage.

Pokrovsk

If anyone is following actions on the ground, you might want to keep up with this name/area over the next week or so.

They are going to. This area is a hinge. Ukrainian general staff has confirmed that Russia has established a huge buildup of troops there other than the ones on the front lines. Ukraine is severely undermanned in this area. This might be the area that Russia tries to punch through. If it happens they will start advancing very rapidly. Not many defenses beyond this area for Ukraine.

ISW Update Jan 7

quote:

Key Takeaways:

Russian forces recently advanced in northwestern Toretsk following several weeks of higher tempo Russian offensive operations and gains in the area.

Russian forces likely intend to exploit their advances in northwestern Toretsk to push further west of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka and along the T-05-16 Toretsk-Kostyantnivka highway towards the southernmost point of Ukraine's fortress belt in Kostyantynivka.

Russian forces may attempt to leverage tactical gains within and near Toretsk and east of Pokrovsk to eliminate the Ukrainian salient southwest of Toretsk.

Russian forces are likely attempting to break out of Toretsk's urban environment and advance into more open and rural areas that are similar to the areas where Russian forces have made significant gains in other sectors of the front in recent months.

Russian forces are unlikely to pose a significant threat to Kostyantynivka unless the Russian military command reinforced the existing force grouping in the area with troops from other frontline areas.

The Ukrainian General Staff stated that Ukrainian forces struck a command post of the Russian 810th Naval Infantry Brigade (Black Sea Fleet [BSF], Southern Military District [SMD]) in Belaya, Kursk Oblast on January 7.

Ukrainian forces recently advanced in Kursk Oblast, and Russian forces recently advanced near Kupyansk, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk and in Kursk Oblast.

The Kremlin continues to promote the "Time of Heroes" program, which aims to place veterans of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in positions in local, regional, and federal governments.
