True.
I did see a Russian video of some captured Ukrainian soldiers and it was pretty surreal. A long arse line of guys in some open room like a gymnasium or something and it was dead silent except for the shuffling of feet. And the cameraman made quite the point to show every bit of food and drink they had laid out for these guys to eat.
So Russia is putting out propaganda of their own. Just not as much as the other side.

It may be in large part because they took the Russian troops phones. The Ukrainians aren't going to post images counter to their survival and the amount of press on the ground is limited.

Unless the Russians control the ENTIRE building I can't imagine using an elevator in a war zone. Every single floor the doors could open on makes for about as good of an ambush set up as one could concoct.

I was thinking the same thing. The building is claimed to be in Ukraine so I guess it could be being used as some sort of command post or something. But I think the bottom floor of any building would be better suited. Or maybe those guys were tired of sleeping outside and found a hotel to crash at for the evening. Who knows.
But I'm with you...I'd be taking the stairs.
