Maybe politically, not the borders of what’s going to be left of Ukraine because they stood up and fought. Hopefully, Ukraine can ignore the West and it’s money and realize hundreds of thousands of people have died on both sides in a war that Ukraine was never going to win. Ukraine put up a hell of a fight but at the end of the day, even with NATO weapons and money without direct military involvement from NATO, it was always going to end this way. Telling the obvious truth doesn’t make me a Russian Troll.

So you went from apologising to me to flat out insinuating that I need "anti psychotic" meds in about a week. Was the initial apology that insincere?

Washington Post: US request not to target Russian oil refineries 'irritated' Zelensky

Leave it to Biden to not want something that's actually having an effect.

As Obama said, "Never underestimate Biden's ability to frick things up."

Targeting Russia's oil refineries rather than protecting the front, where Russia is making advances on several fronts is a bold strategy, lets see how it plays out.

Seriously, you have limited munitions, or so you have whined and bitched and threatened for months......and you use them to blow up targets 600 miles from the front?

And before we hear "its strategic" Russia will have their entire population walking before they cut any fuel to supply the military. Its a waste of "supposedly" rare munitions.

I do love how the bill includes another 4.8 billion to pay their civil servants and retirees......while Americans cant even get back their tax money from the govt. Great priorities.

So Iran sends 100s of drones at Israel and they take them out like Saturday's laundry. Russia sends the same drones, in far less number, to Ukraine and the inept clowns cant take them down.

How stupid can you be?

Reduced refining capacity means less oil and less income on a shattered economy.

Buying from outside Russia, going to 80 octane rating means burned up engines down in the near future, even greater economic disruption.

I thought it was going to end two years ago, but here we are with Ukraine still fighting.

Would you take their right away to defend themselves from a horrific neighbor? Not me. In fact I’d help them.

It’s Ukrainia’s call.

Biden thinks Russia will run out of money before Ukraine runs out of men. That's the strategy: force Russia to retreat, in essence, as the costs get too high.

First of all thank you for your answer. If this is what that old fool and the idiots who work for him believe that is incredible. Have the sanctions cut off the oil sales? The loop holes and work arounds on these sanctions have made them far less effective. Russia can sustain this war for "As long as it takes".
Biden and his merry group of fools have never been serious about this. Same with Scholz and his socialists in Germany. Macron is all talk and will say anything because he wants the spotlight on him.

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 16 April 2024

On 2 April 2024 the Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted a factory in the Tatarstan Region of Russia approximately 800 miles from the Ukrainian border. The facility has been operating since July 2023 and is known to construct Iranian SHAHED style drones which Russia utilise to launch attacks against Ukraine. The regional head of Tatarstan subsequently said in a statement that 'no one will protect us but ourselves'.

The attack once again demonstrates the ability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to reach deep into Russia, evade Russian air defence and locate any supporting functions of the war. The comments from the head of the Tatarstan region highly likely demonstrate a fear around such attacks. It is likely that Russian MOD are struggling to protect such facilities and are likely content to balance the risk to sites staffed by civilians in favour of maintaining their focus on the frontline where Ukrainian UAV tactics, and frequency of attacks, continue to cause problems for Russian forces.

Zelensky: Russia destroyed key power plant near Kyiv since Ukraine 'ran out of missiles' for its defense

by Kateryna Denisova April 16, 2024 11:27 AM

Russian forces destroyed the Trypillia Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in Kyiv Oblast because Ukraine had run out of missiles to defend it during an attack, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with PBS NewsHour published on April 16.

The Trypillia TPP was completely destroyed in a Russian strike on Ukrainian energy infrastructure on April 11, leading to the 100% loss of Centrenergo's generating capacity.

Russia launched 11 missiles in the direction of the plant, according to Zelensky. Ukraine was able to shoot down the first seven, and four "destroyed Trypillia."

"Why? Because there were zero missiles. We have run out of all the missiles that protected the Trypillia TPP," the president said.

The plant is located less than 30 kilometers south of Kyiv and was the main power supplier to Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Cherkasy oblasts.

Ukraine's capital city is understood to be the best-protected from Russian mass missile and drone attacks, but stocks of air defense are low across the country as U.S. military aid funding for Ukraine continues to be held up in Congress.

They have been designed to provide minimum profit for Russia. Russia can sustain the war but not that and its citizens.

Do you really think Putin is worried about the citizens?

He has no internal threat. The Russian people will have been programmed to tolerate just about anything.

He certainly has tip toed even by calling this a SMO. It means he cannot use conscripts outside of Russia's borders. He's even begun cannibalizing money from the elite. He cannot go 100%

Help them how?

We've helped all we can without putting troops on the ground. They need troops.

Do you care enough to help them in that regard?

I've been good with that. It's evident though that that is not enough.

Within a few months, we could be supplying and financing 3 conflicts. Ukraine, Israel and possibly Taiwan. At some point, we might actually need some 155mm rounds ourselves.
