Man, I just watched several videos over at r/combatfootage and the destruction in the aftermath of these battles are definitely intensifying from what we saw last week and over the weekend. Some of the footage looks like it could have come out of some post-apocalyptic Hollywood movie set. And a lot of the footage is in residential areas. I realize the Ukrainians are fighting for their land and that's admirable, but the Russian intensity is picking up. We know that civilian casualties don't carry as much weight for those people as what the West tolerates, but I fear it could turn out very, very ugly over there.

Fun fact: She is a survivor of the siege of Leningrad.
Or, at least that's what some claim.

No NATO country would go to the aid of Finland anymore than they would Ukraine
Norway, Denmark, and Iceland are all part of the Nordic Defence Cooperation with Finland, and those three are also part of NATO. So yeah a few NATO members would likely aid Finland.

Invading the Baltic states means a full NATO response. I don't think he's looking to pick that fight

I don't have a clear idea of what you're trying to say, but I have a clear idea of your sense of humor.

Norway and Denmark are bound to defend Finland. Idk how NATO as a whole would deal with them defending Finland but any russian attack on those countries in the aftermath would bring NATO in id assume

I’m admittedly not an expert on this so I could be wrong, but I don’t believe that would necessarily involve require NATO intervention. If say, Denmark decides to intervene on its own to fight with Finland I don’t think Russia attacking Danish troops would legally trigger Article V.

I was so confused until the end. Like… McAdams doesn’t sound like a Ukrainian or Russian last name… and this guy works for the Ron Paul Institute… and then at the end.

Russian lawmakers have introduced legislation that would conscript into the military anyone arrested for protesting against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. These people would be forced to fight in the invasion itself. What the frick is happening to Russia. This is absolute madness.
Would be an absolute waste of resources for the Russians
Give people who don't want to fight weapons and expect them to fight? Majority of them would prolly surrender to the Ukrainians anyways.

Apparently he the video editor, or both, got the names reversed.

Just a casual observation, but we've been paying a lot of attention to an area in the Gulf about 100 miles WSW of Tampa today. There were a couple of ASW planes (p8's and a E-6) orbiting out there. Russian Boomers?
That wouldn't be out of the realm of believable. Putin put his Nuclear assets on high alert. One would have to assume the Russian Navy tries to patrol close to our coast anyway.

Russian Boomers wouldn't need to stray that close to the US, they leave the pier in Russia already in missile range of the US. The water on the Gulf is not that deep on that side of Florida and SOSUS coverage is (more than likely) pretty good.
A fast attack may stray that way.

Just a fear tactic to try to regain control.
I've said for days now that the most interesting part of this conflict to me is what Putin will do at home. He does not have his propaganda machine working as he did in the past. He has not set and controlled the narrative at home. That will have huge consequences for him moving forward.
This isn't the 80s or even early 2,000s. Information is harder to control now than it was even in 2014. That free flowing information may be Putin's greatest enemy.

You are probably correct in that it wouldn't involve NATO unless it was an attack directly on one of Finland's NATO allies. The Nordic pact also doesn't have an "Article 5" so none of them are obligated to assist, I just think they would at that point.
