This may be something to pay attention to.
I'm not sure it's going to play well with the Russian public if the Chechens start executing Wagner soldiers. They were supposed to have received amnesty, if that is not the case, expect Wagner to push back hard.
Chechens killing Russians is not a good look for Russia.
ETA: I saw a few twitter posts discussing the Chechen unit going back to Chechnya. That might happen pretty quickly.
That also takes that unit off the board. Not a bad week for Ukraine.

UPDATE ON UKRAINE 26 June 2023
As part of its broader counter-offensive, Ukraine has gained impetus in its assaults around Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast.
In a multi-brigade operation, Ukrainian forces have made progress on both the northern and southern flanks of the town.
There has been little evidence that Russia maintains any significant ground forces operational level reserves which could be used to reinforce against the multiple threats it is now facing in widely separated sectors, from Bakhmut to the eastern bank of the Dnipro River, over 200km away.

Oh boy.
Written up in all Russian media now. The criminal investigation against Prigozhin is ongoing.
And the Russian MoD just released new video of Shoigu touring a command center near the front, which indicates that he might not be on his way out.
It appears that Putin is "altering the deal."

Ukraine finally takes Rivnopil. Official statement from Ukrainian MoD, and there's video.
Taking Russian positions there took a long time for Ukraine to accomplish, but this is an essential domino on the Velyka Novosilka (or Vremivsky Ridge) axis.

The idea it was going to business as usual after the events over the weekend was ludicrous, bizarre as they seem to have been.
This is a fulcrum situation that power blocks will exploit for their own agendas and I think the conflicting stories we are seeing is a sign of this,
Regarding the Shoigu footage - there are some claims regarding this that it is pre-recorded footage of him inspecting areas around the Western frontline earlier last week. Gerasimov is still absent as well.
Going to be some irate telegram channels if they are seen this week with evidence that it is post this weekend, the next week of developments should show who is coming out on top following it all.

Has definitely been a hard slog to take it but shores up that flank and opens up the west flank of Staromajors'ke for envelopment.

Right. Rivnopil and Staromaiorske was a chicken-and-egg situation where it was hard to take one without taking the other first. Each, to an extent, helped protect the other.

I read another story this morning about executions of Wagner supporters.
