All of the Wagner PMC Group Telegrams seem to be very Unhappy with this Decision by Prigozhin with some stating they will be Breaking their Contract with the Group.

Prigozhin might have f**ked up. If he loses his best fighters then Wagner is finished. Once Wagner is finished then there is nothing to stop him from falling from a window. If Prigozhin goes onto to be Minister of Defense but Wagner looses its best troops then he is stuck in the same position as Shoigu was in which is not a good one. Either way it is a win for Ukraine.

Prigozhin dishonored not only himself, but everyone who believed in him. I still hold on only because I survived the murder of two brigade commanders and the shame and betrayal of the Minsks. And here comes another blow. I will become even more cynical and perhaps never again believe in anything.

You have respect such dedication to a likely suicide mission.

Its a total win for Prig and Ukraine. To put it in PT board terms...Putin got cucked by Prig.

I wonder if Shoigu tried to have Prig killed and failed which kicked all this off. Would explain why they did all this then.

March on Moscow and get agreeable terms. Prig gets to take his group out of russia and probably remove his death warrant. The guys who did it resign and are replaced.

Who really knows at this point lol.

I think it’s way too early to make that statement. What happens if his own troops have now lost faith in his decision making and don’t follow him moving forward?

If Tom Clancy were still alive, his keyboard would be in overdrive with three scripts going at the same time.

Prig is a dead man walking.

Putin made the deal he had to make at the moment to avoid total disaster. He sacrifices a couple of generals, gets Wagner back in the cage. He can take out Prig at some point in the future.

If there was some sort of "deal", I don't think I'd completely stand down until all of the agreed upon terms were publicly met.

Curiouser and curiouser.

I think Prig lost face with his guys, but he still managed to get what he wanted out this mutiny, Amnesty for him and his troops, relo to Africa, and the removal of Shoigu. Those are all short term wins for Prig.

Long term, its not nearly as clear

I think it’s telling Wagner wanted out of Ukraine.

He wants to fight African warlords, not NATO equipment

i think a more drawn out conflict between prig and Putin would have been more impactful for Ukraine. As for prig, I guess maybe he’s been paid off and given more power, but you wonder if Putin ensures it’s a short term win only.

Probably gets poisoned in Africa within a few months

Yea unless this was all planned internally (why the frick would it be???) then you have to think Prig is all but dead. He very publicly had Putin and the rest of the high command shitting bricks and supposedly fleeing the capital.

On what planet is a Russian "guarantee of PMC security" worth anything?

Also what happens to all the citizens in Rostov and elsewhere on video "welcoming" Wagner?

Yea, it certainly would have been better for Ukraine if the coup would have gone farther and eaten more Russian troops and equipment; however, it was still a damn good 24 hours for Ukraine any way you look at it.

I am forced to admit with bitterness that the Russian Federation has come one step closer to its final and irrevocable death.

From now on, there are two presidents in the Russian Federation - the real president, Evgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin, and the vice-president for imprisonment, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. The main purpose of the zits-president is to periodically address the real president, and in a kneeling position, with the question: "What would you like, Yevgeny Viktorovich?"

Never, even in the most nightmare dream, could I imagine that I would see this shame and the death of my country.

Even if we assume that "That's it, we're dispersing" - then it remains to state that the REVOLUTION HAPPENED SUCCESSFULLY. The second (in fact) person in the state was forcibly removed from power.

They got to meet their new home.

The Siberian Gulag.

There is no way Putin will keep this promise for very long. And anyone found to be helping Prig in the MoD and Russian Army will go "missing" over the next few months.

That is how Russia operates.
