Putin is more of an imperialist than most western leaders. But really communism will never work in large country- human nature just won't let it.

Ukranians in the east are risking getting surrounded unless there is a counteroffensive from the west.

Where are the massive amounts of reserve troops?

I'd be embarrassed if I got killed by a missile paid for by dogecoin.

But I think Ukraine is overplaying their defensive strategy. They need to go on the offense and *try* to strike the convoy.

Maybe the Russians are leaving the convoy out there to attempt to lure what is left of the Ukrainian Air Force into a SAM trap?

It’s good to see our White House has its priorities in order. I’m sure when Hitler lost in Stalingrad signifying their doom that they forgot all about it when he brought out Blondie to put everyone at ease.

Klitschko about to be on CNN. Anderson decided he had to do his show in Ukraine so of course he went to Lviv. He should have grown a pair and went to Kyiv. I'm guessing it's via phone/Skype unless he escaped the city.

[BBC News] Crypto currencies surge amid sanctions

quote:

The war in Ukraine is marking a turning point in the world order, not least by showing off the power and use of digital currencies.

Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, rose more than 10% to over $41,000 at one stage.

Ethereum jumped nearly 9%.

It comes amid reports that Binance, the biggest crypto exchange, will not be blocking the accounts of Russian users despite calls to do so.

On Sunday, Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov had called on all major crypto exchanges to block Russian users.

"It's crucial to freeze not only the addresses linked to Russian and Belarusian politicians, but also to sabotage ordinary users,” he wrote on Twitter.

The worry is that, without access to the global financial system, Russia will try to use cryptocurrency to get around Western sanctions.

Almost looks like Siege Warfare tactics.

Not the American way of leveling everything then spending billions rebuilding.

Surround them and let them give up a country with mostly working infrastructure and a populace that joins you.

Same shite Alexander the Great did.

[CNN] Overwhelming wave of Russian troops expected in Ukraine, US officials warn

quote:

US administration officials warned lawmakers in classified briefings Monday that a second wave of Russian troops will likely consolidate the country's positions within Ukraine and by sheer numbers be able to overcome the Ukrainian resistance, according to two people familiar with the briefings.

“That part was disheartening,” one lawmaker told CNN.

The officials also said Russia was likely to lay siege to Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and predicted ugly scenes of urban warfare, one of the people familiar with the matter said.

Putin's mental state: Questions about Russian President Vladimir Putin's mental state arose during the briefings, but were not clearly answered by the administration officials, the sources said.

GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley, who attended the Senate briefing, confirmed Putin's mental state came up, but he declined to elaborate on what was shared.

He did say, however, that regardless of the briefing, he personally is worried about Putin’s mental state.

The Biden administration officials were more upbeat about the unity emerging from Western countries, both in terms of sanctions as well as weapons coming from nations like Germany that were opposed to such a move just a few days ago, the sources said.

Yep. Initially I was curious as to why the Russians in the Donbass weren't advancing. Appears they were simply holding a bunch of Ukrainians in place so they could be surrounded.
