How did these people obtain a tank and APCs? Not mad about it, but it is very interesting.
"Anyone can buy weapons at a military surplus store."
That's what Ukrainians are gleefully saying today, because that's what Putin said in 2014 when his "little green men" invaded the Donbas and he pretended that it was a domestic uprising.
Ukrainians are having a tremendous amount of fun with today's raid -- huge morale boost.

Isolationism won’t work in a global economy.
Today is your day to learn something.
Isolationism isn't the same thing as non interventionism. Youre welcome.

I strongly suspect this is an early opening move of the counter-offensive. They have to give Russia time to react.

Today's Free russia incursion into Belgorod is creating a magnificent dilemma for the russians:
putin can either move 50,000+ troops from southern Ukraine to belgorod, bryansk, and kursk oblasts to secure the 700+ km border with Ukraine, which would mean that russia has even less troops to withstand the coming Ukrainian offensive, or putin can leave the 50,000 troops in southern Ukraine and lose village after village, town after town to the Free russia legion.

Maybe the world would be just as well off if China was calling the shots geopolitically?… bc that’s exactly what you’d be doing if we ‘closed all foreign bases’.
Roger can just learn Mandarin and go to China if he wants to live under Communism. The rest of us want to live in a world where America is the strongest nation in the world -- that strength is absolutely dependent upon our alliances and our ability to project force around the world.

Its truly amazing how you equate non intervention to communism.
While espousing socialist views the entire time.
You want a socialized military with the US paying the way.

Can we move the poltics to the right board?

Non intervention, close all our bases down is what you advocate.
That’s isolationism.
If you can’t protect American interests abroad then it will hurt at home. For instance Iraq conquers Kuwait. The free flow of oil is threatened. Oil prices sky. If we don’t intervene Saudi Arabia is next.
That’s how things work.

I think you mean move the politics you don’t like to the right board. This thread talks politics in this thread every single day.

Abroad, yes.
Its an archaic cold war era policy that feeds investors, and gives you a false sense of security.

Non-interventionism or non-intervention is a political philosophy or national foreign policy doctrine that opposes interference in the domestic politics and affairs of other countries but, in contrast to isolationism, is not necessarily opposed to international commitments in general.

It still is the largest arms supplier of Ukraine

Absolutely it does. We pounced on Ukraine the minute they split from the Soviet Union.
We were handpicking leaders and fomenting revolution there just 8 years ago.

Because defining the intricacies of non intervention and isolationism is discussed everyday here and is highly relevant to what is happening on the ground in Ukraine....
Well yeah, because everytime you discuss arms or aid being given to Ukraine you’re discussing the intricacies of interventionism. Extremely simple concept.

Wagner's GreyZone channel talks about the "Special Military Retreat" in the Belgorod region. There's some extra salt here:
quote:
Ten billion rubles were spent to strengthen part of the Russian border in the Belgorod region. But who could have known that they would go straight through the checkpoint? I think they even called him and booked the border crossing time so that everything is in accordance with the rules and no violations of the red lines.

Bingo.
The entire argument is regarding intervention or non intervention. I dont think many in this thread can tell the difference between isolationism and intervention.
I blame the media for catering to 7th grade intellects.

Yup. And we decided the little puppet Zelenskyy was our guy and not the great Vitali Klitschko, who is an actual Ukrainian and is actually well-known with political experience.
I don't remember all the details but I remember some Deep State wench from the US saying that on leaked documents

i seem to remember reading a link recently in this thread where a German official stated they could see Ukraine attacking Russian soil if it was to interdict supply lines. So it sounds like the West has given Ukraine the OK to do this
Russia will have to move troops into the area. if not you may see an actual Ukrainian force move in, not just the "Free Russian" force. these villages are NW of Karkiv and SE of Belgorod
