I thought that this photo of Bakhmut was especially poignant, with the mural of the happy dad and son as a contrast to all the destruction. The crazy thing is that the huge pile of rubble in the front of the photo used to be a building with a matching mural of a mother and baby.

What the murals used to look like:

Yes I watched the video.

I have watched the video after tracking it down since Texas rarely shares his sources. I don't dispute that there are elements in the Ukraine (as many other nations) that subscribe to Nazi ideology, however the theory that they are in control of Ukraine and that this somehow validates Russia's invasion is a very curly train of thought.

Twitter - @lopatonok

It is short with no sound so context is an extrapolation, but if you look at his body language this looks to be a young kid taking the piss considering they appear to be rolling in Leopards.

As for the other image, the death's head has been used across military branches around the world for centuries and is not indicative that the sleeping dude is a Nazi despite it's association with certain elements of the Nazi military in WWII.

While it's deletion is an issue this looks to be more self censorship once someone pointed out how it would be viewed given current disinformation efforts to paint Ukraine as a Nazi state - personally I feel they should have left it up, people wanting to disinform themselves will do so regardless.

So 2 down, lets see the other 9998.

Why are you in here pretending that you're on some crusade against Nazis, when the truth is that you're just trolling?

I posted today about the air defense systems getting hit and then was told I wasn't credible because of a post I made two weeks ago. I wasn't the one who brought up Nazis and was simply defending what I said, I had zero intention of trolling.

Why are y'all unable to just read posts from another perspective without an emotional reaction? This is the only running thread on the war and I will continue to post stuff from the Russian side. It's pretty obvious at this point that both sides continuously put out misinformation and the truth lies somewhere in-between, so why not hear both sides?

For example, Ukraine claimed to have destroyed 6 drones yesterday...I was just confirming that they were indeed destroyed, while blowing up UA air defense systems.

No doubt, that's why I don't support funding or arming either of them.

Nord Stream news: the Norwegian MoD has confirmed that a specific Russian vessel was in the area, one that had a mini-sub onboard that would have been perfect for the operation.
Very interesting but unusual that this information was only released now.

Oh the folks on here are well aware that Ukraine puts out lies just the same as Russia...but it's accepted because they "need to" in order to secure more weapons/funding/support.

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 28 April 2023

Last week, Russian media reported that the annual Russian International Army Games will not take place in 2023. Pitched as the 'War Olympics, the games have symbolised Russia's attempt to re-establish the military at the heart of popular culture. The festival-like event is particularly known for the Tank Biathlon.

Russia has likely cancelled the games mainly because it is concerned the event would be seen as frivolous in wartime. Russian nationalist commentators, including former intelligence officer Igor Girkin, fiercely criticised the Russian Ministry of Defence (MOD) for going ahead with the 2022 iteration.

There is also a realistic possibility that due to losses in Ukraine, the Russian MOD is concerned a shortage of tanks, tank crews and other skilled personnel will risk the Russian team's usual domination of the medals table.

Ran across this while doing the rounds and found it interesting since it is done through public donations. According to them they have acquired 101 APCs for GB £5275600 (US $6567816). The APCs and variants are based on the FV101 Scorpion light tank chassis, enlarged FV4333 Stormer chassis or older FV430 chassis.

Twitter - @serhiyprytula

40 FV103 Spartan APCs (4 troops)
21 FV105 Sultan Command Vehicles
3 FV106 Samson Recovery Vehicles
2 FV104 Samaritan Armoured Ambulances
8 FV4333 Stormer APCs (8 troops)
1 FV4333 Stormer Flatbed with Shielder Minelaying system
24 FV432 APCs (10 troops)
2 FV434 Armoured Repair Vehicles.

Can see them being useful for lighter duties given low armour, troop carrying ability, and armament as they are relatively fast, apart from the FV432s (only 50km/h), at 80-96km/h road speed with 500km-650km in range depending on variant.

‘Right On Target’ – Russia’s Defense Military Celebrates Killing Children in Latest Missile Attack

Following a deadly attack that killed at least 16 civilians in Ukraine, Russia's Defense Ministry posted a picture of a missile launch lauding their own work.
by Kyiv Post | April 28, 2023, 12:36 pm

The morning after a deadly attack that claimed the lives of at least 16 civilians in Ukraine – including a three-yar-old child –, Russia's Defense Ministry posted a picture of a missile launch with the quote, "Right on target."

The message was accompanied by the hashtag ?????Z, which means "heroes" in Russian and includes the symbol of Russian aggression, the letter Z.

In the town of Uman in central Ukraine, at least 14 people were killed and several more wounded after a rocket hit a residential building. In Dnipro a woman and a three-year-old child were killed in another missile strike.

I don't understand why some of you post information like this. Have you never heard of or even know the meaning of OPSEC???

Nothing I posted can’t be found on Google.

The DOD directives for COMSEC, which govern the topic are in the public domain guy.

Damning NYT story about how @amnesty commissioned an independent review of its deeply flawed Ukraine report published last year, and then lobbied to soften the review and buried it when the findings showed the human rights org had badly botched the report.

?? Delivery of 80 main Leopard 1 battle tanks to Ukraine will begin in mid-2023. This week, the training of more than 100 Ukrainian militaries began, — German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.

The Minister stressed that in March Germany delivered 18 Leopard A6 and 40 Marder infantry vehicles to Ukraine, as well as other packages such as urgently needed spare parts and ammunition.

We have no idea if they can hit trains or railroads. Only civilian Ukrainian infrastructure and casualties are reported.
