This is all purely hypothetical:

But if we have thousands of sophisticated drones that can use multiple sensor levels from thermal, to motion, heat sensor
, metal sensor, ligar, etc and at the same time we have a large number of satellites that are equipped with guided laser systems so accurate that they can vaporize the driver of a car from space that’s going 75 mph, how the hell do u counter that?

Some sort of particle diffraction technology to break up the coherent beam of light would be my guess.

Predator is right.

Here's the vid for those that haven't seen it.

BE WARNED DEAD BODIES ShOWN:

predator IRL

I do feel sorry for the poor bastards that got dragged out of homes/off street to fight an enemy he can't see. But seriously how can you counter night drones and targeting that accurately? Is it even possible?

Yes, you hide under trees and spread out. What you’re looking at is best case scenario thermal vision. There’s about a 5 hour period per day where you might get lucky enough to have it look that clear. It being winter helps a lot. Thermal crossover during dusk and Dawn make thermals almost unusable or at least take a very skilled operator to differentiate signatures. During the daylight the leaves are close enough to body temp to make signatures.

It’s winter so the leaves are gone and not holding heat after the sun goes does.

IR sensors are awesome but it’s by no means a god cheat code to the battlefield.

It is all good for me though I didn't have an issue seeing them before from you so may not be the best test case.

You can see body parts being blown 100 yards. That’s brutal. But damn the accuracy is devastating.

They felt that as time wore on, that aircraft carriers would be rendered ineffective bc of submarines. They have a fairly robust fleet of submarines, if memory serves me well

They really don't. They bought a bunch of post-soviet surplus diesels-- about 50-- that make up the backbone of the submarine force. The Shang class of their nuclear attack subs-- the best of their subs-- is estimated to be no quieter than mid 1970s Soviet designs, and are not difficult finds in the shallow waters of the South China sea. The Jins are kept on constant watch, because of their SSN status.

Numerically, the overwhelming bulk of their forces are variants of the 60s and 70s era Soviet Romeos, or Mings-- which are not exactly fantastic-- they've lost 7 of the 23 they built operationally, without ever taking them to war.

Have the Challengers been delivered yet? I really hoped they would send enough to equip a battalion like we are doing. They had 31 Challenger 2s they could send with no problem. The Leopards are disappointing though. I had hoped to get at least 100 Leopard 2s but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. At this point I’ll be surprised if they get 60 of them. This is obviously why we are speeding up the Abrams deliveries to help fill that gap. Hell it might just be the Leopard 1 not the Leopard 2 that helps Ukraine more. They look to be getting 100-120 of them. One thing looks to be true though. We are about to see just how superior western MBTs are to Russian armor because they will be outnumbered. If used correctly though I still think 100 tanks collectively with IFVs can mount a strong spearhead of an offensive but it will all come down to their tactics. I worry about that because the crews have clearly gotten a crash course in these systems, especially the Abrams crew and their maintenance guys who probably are the most fricked in all of this.

British Defence Intelligence
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 12 March 2023

As Russia continues to suffer extremely heavy casualties, the impact varies dramatically across Russia's regions. In proportion to the size of their population, the richest cities of Moscow and St Petersburg have been left relatively unscathed. This is especially true for the families of the country's elite.

On 21 February 2023, Russian senior officials were photographed making up the front two rows of the audience of President Putin's state of the nation speech. None of these are known to have children serving in the military.

In many of the Eastern regions, deaths are likely running, as a percentage of population, at a rate of 30-40 times higher than in Moscow. In many places, ethnic minorities fake the biggest hit; in Astrakhan some 75% of casualties come from the minority Kazakh and Tartar populations. As the Russian MoD seeks to address its continued deficit of combat personnel, insulating the better-off and more influential elements of Russian society will highly likely remain a major consideration.

From Twitter, here's a video compilation from a Ukrainian unit dropping grenades onto Russian soldiers using thermal drones.

Wagner mercenary company representative detained at airport in Moldova, not allowed to enter country
March 12, 2023

The border police reported on March 12 that they had not allowed a representative of the Russian private military campaign (PMC) Wagner to enter Moldova. The department noted that the man arrived in the country by plane, but he was stopped at the airport.

The police noted that over the past week, 182 foreign citizens and 46 vehicles were not allowed into the country. According to border guards, 165 of them violated Moldovan border and migration legislation.

"The exchange of information allowed us to identify in the flow of passengers at the Chisinau airport a citizen identified as a representative of PMCs from Russia (Wagner). He was not allowed into the country and returned by plane to the state from which he departed, "the police said.

Emergency blankets with the reflective surface is a good way to hide from it.
