So now it's a pile on if that happens with Belarus jumping in.

None of this makes sense from a military tactics standpoint. The Russians are doing things in the wrong order.
I think it possible that there is some truth to the reports that the Russian high command clearly underestimated the resolve and fighting ability of their opponent. They probably figured going "shock and awe" wouldn't be necessary.
The Ukrainians played them for fools. While their president was running around his country, publicly declaring that Biden didn't know what he was talking about with the intelligence on an imminent Russian invasion, Ukrainian forces were clearly getting ready for a rigorous defense.

AND NOW THIS ... (Reuters) - A referendum in Belarus on Sunday approved a new constitution ditching the country's non-nuclear status at a time when the former Soviet republic has become a launch pad for Russian troops invading Ukraine, Russian news agencies said.
Well shite

Russia is so screwed after this no matter the outcome.

Russia installing puppet governments and creating nuclear proliferation isn't going to be taken lightly by anyone.
Also, they're showing exactly why NATO is still somewhat necessary all in the same set of actions, but they think they can sway people by saying NATO is the problem.

Okay, so now I have seen speculation that both Poland and Denmark are going to allow "volunteers" to join Ukranians in their fight. This could prove to be a very important piece of the puzzle going forward.

Zelensky is a corrupt little rat himself, but I’ll give him credit for this. I suspect he probably had/has help from US private security firms.

Russia has deployed thermobaric rocket launchers near Ukraine.

I just don't understand this.
It's like Belarus and Russia are still playing by the Cold War book. Throw out "nuclear" a few times and rattle some cages!
Who would they launch a nuke at? The country they're currently invading with their own troops in place? The country that is right next to them, thus exposing their own people to fallout?
Would they fire at another European country? If so, then this fricks them. Not only would they be pummeled by the US & UK, but they would be perma-crippled economically by the West.
Then, does China come into play? Do they make the stupid decision to support Russia and create a full-on WWIII, or do they stay the frick on the sideline and not risk also being fricked by us and the rest of the countries that matter.
The dumbest move...EVER...would be for Putin to go nuclear.

They did that on Friday, I believe...

They are threatening NATO specifically with nuclear action. This is Putin's way of telling the West to stay out of the conflict.

That's not news. They have thermo in Ukraine and we have video to prove it.

This is basically Oweo rolling into a thread full of OT alphas and threatening them to an arse-kicking contest.

I was wondering if ol' boy's pecker broke or his new rifle won't shoot straight or something. I hope he gets it all straightened out. He's twice the man any EU head of state is regardless.

This is not accurate. He has a follow up that states he was misquoted. Kyiv is not surrounded according to him.
