Prigozhin is the money man for the infamous Wagner Group of mercenaries (who are basically Russia's private army they use for dirty work). He's been positioning himself as a "fighting" man who wants to see the war carried through to total victory.
To that end he's been heavily promoting the limited attacks his forces have been making in the Bahkmut area, though neutral reports indicate the Ukrainians have been kicking hell out of his forces. Which doesn't matter to Prigozhin, he's after the image of being the one fearless leader willing to stand up to the military and not give up the war.
With Putin looking increasingly in danger of losing key support Prigozhin is positioning himself to get the backing of the ultra-nationalists, which is an active enough bloc in Russia that it could get him Putin's job.
Putin, of course, knows what Prigozhin is doing but he's dependent on his support since wide spread dissatisfaction with the war has eroded his popular support and standing with the various Russian Oligarchs.

The numbers posted by Oryx is low in comparison to what you see from WarMonitor and Ukrinform. If you believe half of what those two post, Russia is losing 1-3 La-52 per week the last couple months.

From @Tendar, an optimistic take this morning:
Pro-Russian Zoka (@200_zoka) kinda confirms this:

seems that units around Svatovo are still unable to stabilize and establish front line. Although they had 2 weeks to prepare

British Defence Intelligence
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 25 October 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
There have been at least 23 verified losses of Russia's Ka-52 HOKUM attack helicopter in Ukraine since the invasion. This represents over 25% of the Russian Air Force's in-service fleet of 90 Ka-52s, and nearly half of Russia's total helicopter losses in Ukraine.
Russian attack helicopters have likely suffered particular attrition from Ukrainian man-portable air defence systems (MANPADS), while the helicopters frequently operate with less consistent top-cover from combat jets than they would expect under Russian military doctrine.
Russia is still failing to maintain adequate air superiority in order to reliably carry out effective fixed wing close air support near the front line, and its artillery ammunition is running low. Russian commanders are likely increasingly resorting to conducting high-risk attack helicopter missions as one of the few options available to provide close support for troops in combat.

This is Rybar's map from yesterday morning of the fighting in northern Luhansk. The green circles were areas confirmed to be taken by Ukraine yesterday. I marked Novovodyane with a purple circle this morning. You can see that Ukraine is closing in on the P66 highway.

Kadyrovites’ base destroyed in Kherson region: 40 killed, 60 injured
Last night the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a base of the so-called ‘Kadyrov’s men’, who had evacuated to the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
The relevant statement was made by Kherson Regional Council Member Serhii Khlan on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Kadyrovites moved to the left bank and could not help but take selfies and post them. Last night their base was destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Khlan wrote.
In a commentary to Freedom TV channel, Khlan explained that the Kadyrovites had moved to the left bank of the Dnieper from Kherson, accommodated in one of buildings and started to take selfies and post them on the social media.
“Thanks to TikTok, they disclosed their location on their own. Our forces had only to engage a target,” Khlan added.
Reportedly, about 40 Kadyrovites were killed and 60 seriously injured.

Not posting yet but a few Twitter posts suggest that Wagner fell into a cauldron of a trap at Bakhmut and chopped up

The next US aid package, likely announced later this week, will include HAWK missile defense systems. Spain just gave Ukraine four of these systems. Even though they've been updated several times, these are still older systems and not really needed by US forces. In fact, all the US HAWKs have been in storage for years, replaced by Patriot systems.
HAWK is an older system, but it's still capable of shooting down most Russian cruise missiles, and these systems will add another layer to Ukraine's air defense.

That's something that really annoys me. When people talk about how we gave Ukraine $60 billion in military assistance, it's misleading. Older systems that had been retired by our forces and were sitting in storage have almost zero value to the US military. Sure, we are sending Ukraine some new stuff too, but if you add up all the older stuff that we didn't need, or munitions that were about to expire, you'd probably get to $20 billion or so. It's not like $60 billion is coming out of the pockets of the US taxpayer.

I believe the one with SS tattoos is Dmitry Utkin. He is the former Russian colonel that was involved in the formation of the Wagner group.

True - but it would be nice to be paid for them...

Rybar sure seems to have flipped to 100% Putin propaganda in the last few weeks. They are more about politics in the Twitter feed than what is happening at the front, and not just Ukraine.

But if you read the way Stout and the loons present it in the politard board, you would probably think we are just shipping pallets of cash over there
