During the first day of heavy fighting, ours burned down 15-20 infantry fighting vehicles and up to 10 tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. ??Our people withdrew from the gray zone from Lyubimovka. ?? Oskorovka and Zolotaya Balka were also abandoned, in the evening the enemy approached Dudchany on the banks of the Dnieper.
That’s a lot of words to explain that the Russians are hauling arse running away.

I hope they have their pontoon trains and engineers ready because the roads across the dam are impassive and the Ukrainians need to keep the heat on the Ruskies.
If they take the dam they can turn off the water to Crimea (I believe it is still flowing).

72 km in less than a day. The good guys are hauling arse. Stidham8 would shite his pants if he could see a front collapsing that fast.
Advancing along the river means that the Ukrainians can use the river to protect their flank, while they cut off untold numbers of Russians to their north.
There's clearly a total collapse happening east of the Imhulets River. There was just no way that Russia could hold the Kherson region for the winter, though I kinda thought they would hold out a couple more weeks.
But, eventually, the ammo supplies run low, the artillery gun barrels get damaged, the tanks break down, the soldiers' battle fatigue sets in deep, partisans kick activities up another notch because Ukrainians there don't like being "annexed," soldiers' morale drops even more with the Lyman losses, it start to get cold in the trench at night and there's no cold weather gear, there aren't any more air support missions because too many RU planes have been shot down ... and then guys just give up.

Those idiots don;t seem to get that Jews being oppressed in Germany and Spain moved to mostly Belorus and Ukraine areas when under Polish rule and INVITED by the Poles. They were excellent craftsmen.

For those that need some help understanding where the offensive is taking place in
the Kherson area, here is a map I annotated showing the overall Kherson region.
The current offensive we're hearing about is in the top of area 2 of this map.
What has happened is that Ukraine has cut (red dashed lines) all the bridges across both the Dnipro River (the large river running east to NW and the Inhulets River which runs north to south. This has effectively trapped the Russians in two areas 1 & 2 on the map. This makes it difficult for the Russians to resupply or reinforce between areas 1 and 2.
The bridges over the Dnipro river are down which prevents Russia from easily bringing up reserves or resupplying the units on the north side of the river via the southern side of the river and from Crimea.
There are various reports that Russia has fallen back to Dudchany (Upper blue circle)
By attacking along the river, The Ukrainians are safe from any Russian counter-attack on what would be their left flank as the river blocks the Russians. This also puts the Ukrainians behind the front lines along the north edge of the front.

?? Good news has been brought: the enemy is suffering heavy losses during the offensive in the Kherson region.
All official dill channels are hysterically asking to donate blood for wounded militants from the front.
And the Kyiv authorities FSUs - their soldiers are just cannon fodder for them.

Malcontent News has had most of its media suspended for the last month due to being “reported” on all media by Russian trolls and disrupters. However, they are starting to get beyond the appeals that have effectively kept them offline for the last month.
So today they are making their entire Ukraine War Situation Report available publicly for no cost. For anyone who is interested, it’s 69 pages.

Totally inexplicable!

If this report is true then that places the Ukrainians down here, roughly a 74km advance. I am skeptical they pushed this far in a day, need to hear some more collaborating information before I believe it.

I’m seeing that pre war video clip of Putin grinning arrogantly about how F’ed Ukraine is about to be in my mind a lot these days. The most public hubris by a world leader in wartime in my lifetime maybe?
Donald Rumsfeld deserves at least an honorable mention on this list.

There are several great posters in this thread who provide quality content.
If Russia was moving forward instead of back, I'd be posting those maps as well. I just enjoy discussing the ebb and flow of the battlefield and military strategies at play while trying to figure out what will happen next.
