An article in the WSJ today about the US's ammo situation. It's behind a wall.

He’s been following the Lyman encirclement for several days now… looks like he nailed it.

I don't know. This looks like an unverified report on the verification of tweets. Can you please show me the verification of your unverified report on the lack of verification?

They are trying to flee. Along roads under fire control of Ukrainian forces.

So, we'll see how many actually get out. My bet is that a lot of them won't.

36. When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. This does not mean that the enemy is to be allowed to escape. The object, as Tu Mu puts it, is "to make him believe that there is a road to safety, and thus prevent his fighting with the courage of despair." Tu Mu adds pleasantly: "After that, you may crush him."

I actually agree with you on Chuck Pfarrer, his reporting has been "optimistic" at times, I think he's the source of the 10K captured Russians in the previous offensive.

For the most part, I have stopped reposting his stuff; however, due to previous posts made by Stidham in this thread where he posted "The entire Ukrainian eastern front is collapsing", I couldn't pass up an opportunity to post what Pfarrer said.

The situation in the Limansky
direction as of 10.00 September 30, 2022

The cauldron" around Liman is almost completely closed. The message across the road to Torskoye is under enemy fire control. The day before, the 503rd Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment from the 19th Motorized Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Arms Army was deployed to the site. Regular servicemen, side by side with the mobilized, entered the battle from the march, trying to expand the "noose" that had gathered around Liman.

After the fall of Stavok, they managed to stop the enemy on the outskirts of the settlement. To the
north of Liman, the front line runs along the line of the southern outskirts of Stavok - the northern outskirts of Zarechny.

To the north of Zarechny, Ukrainian DRGs are calmly crossing over to the other side of the Zherebets River and operating in the area of ??the highway to Svatovo. To the south, the situation is worse: the RF Armed Forces withdrew from Yampol to Liman, the settlement is located in the gray zone. The situation is similar in Drobyshevo: the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to break through the defensive orders of the RF Armed Forces and force the Russian troops to retreat to the city. The RF Armed Forces continue to inflict fire damage on advancing enemy units. But at the moment, the Liman defensive line has narrowed to the administrative boundaries of the city itself.

If emergency measures are not taken in the near future to release the Liman and transfer a significant part of the reserves, then the city, together with its defenders, will fall, nothing will stop Ukrainian formations from developing an offensive deep into Russian territories.

Billboard up around Moscow loop saying "We will defend our lands with all forces & means available & do everything to ensure people's safety. That's the great liberating mission of our people." As if the occupied territories are Russia.

In other news, the cops are closing in on my 7/11, but I won't let them have it!

So now the “reason” Russia invaded Ukraine was not because they feared NATO, but because they wanted to free their people.

It’s not the Nazis, it’s not the BioLabs either. Nor, is it to fight globalism and expose corruption. Russia has been on a liberating mission all along. How about that???

Russia kind of shot that narrative down when they released all of the Azov POWS's they took in Mariupol.

Putin’s speech today was just as crazy, if not more, than the one when he justified the invasion in February. He has clearly lost his mind and I’m starting to doubt that he wouldn’t use nukes in this conflict.

Gordon is PISSED. That is where his billboards for his new Moscow office were supposed to start running Oct 1.

Injured in a big tank wreck?
Boomerang MLRS?
Banana peeled artillery piece?
Frostbite from lack of cold weather gear?

Get Gordon and Get it Done.

I mean he doesn't have a lot of cards left to play. He's miscalculated at every step of the way here and painted himself into a corner. His Hail Mary could be to act crazy enough to try and make the West second guess that he may actually use nuclear weapons to try and de-escalate and save his regime. At the end of the day, an authoritarian's main goal is to stay in power.
