Pretty powerful video. In Dagestan locals clearly don't want to go to war with Ukraine. The recruiting officer argues they have to fight for the future. – We don't even have a present, what future are you talking about," replies a Dagestani man.

Definitely going to see more non European Russians in Ukraine

Just like the conscripts

Russia is too many times zones and ethnic groups to be a stable nation

It’s been a powder keg, the USSR only kept it in check with force

The more this plays out… I just don’t know that fighting modern wars with conscripts is going to work… there’s too much information out there today…. even

I guess we’ll see here soon… but man, pulling some jackleg out of his house and giving him 2 weeks of training and a rifle… sounds like a good way to lose a war and get a bunch of folks killed in the process.

I'd laugh if any of the ethnic Han populations that are starting to spill into Siberia start feeling conscription's pinch.

The Chinese government pumping the brakes on support for the Russians a smidge would be funny.

Russia has never cared how many citizens it uses for cannon fodder for its elites to stay in power whether under the Tsars, Soviets or Putin.

Russia has a the lead, but Ukraine has the ball and is driving. The Russian defense is winded and hasn’t been able to stop them lately, and there is plenty of time left on the clock.

There are several posts about this in the last couple of pages of the thread

quote:

just read something in the r/ukraine. there was a trainload of t-62 tanks that pulled into the station at donetsk. there was a large explosion and destroyed the tanks.

looked up said tanks and they were first made in 1961. that’s what the russian army is using. add that to the first 300,000 conscripts, who won’t want to be there, and it will be a bloodbath for the russians.

My point it’s way harder today to pull that off, even in these authoritarian regimes. Information is relatively easy to distribute… and can be done quickly. It’s impossible to control that.

The problem in Russia is that the majority of the public gets all of its news from State TV. 100% of all the Russian news is scripted by teams of psychologists. Losses will be blamed on inept and to be deposed military leadership, traitors and what not and only when needed to prepare the citizenry with the a total loss. Much like they cheated with the refs because a penalty negated a TD with a penalty for an obvious infraction

They are doing the best to try to sell their invasion force as a patriotic mission. It seems such a disconnect from reality. Obviously there aren't enough people willing to volunteer for this "patriotic mission." I'd guess that is because the people of Russia don't see an invasion of Ukraine as a patriotic mission.

Well he appointed Wray to lead the FBI and Barr to lead the DOJ so I am going to say no.

Yes and I did not get myocarditis or dick cancer and I went and stood next to an MRI machine so the microchip in the vaccine was destroyed. All the benefits with none of the big brother side effects.

That strategy did not work for the Tsar in WW1 and it did not work for the Soviets in Afghanistan. Let's see if the 3rd time is the charm or if Putin ends up being machine gun fodder himself in a basement in Siberia.

The only problem with that is that state media is pushing for Putin to take control of the military himself and the Russian people know how to use VPNs.

Member when "they" said Russia was not sending their best?

"They" said after the cannon fodder was expended Russia would send in their best to mop up.

I member.

Now we see what "Russia's best" really is. It is 300,000+ men that have forgotten which end of the rifle is pointy.

There are about 20,000 Chinese in Moscow, so it wouldn't shock me if Xi communicated precisely that sentiment to Putin already.

But but graphene and magnetic. Even though graphene nanoparticles are being used in medicine already.

A nuke will kill via radiation poisoning but radiation is used to kill cancer cells. Dosage and target is key
