Oryx isn't just about this war. For example, he has kept a count in the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict since it started a couple of years ago.
There's no question that Oryx personally favors Ukraine in this war, but he also frequently calls BS on exaggerated Ukrainian claims. He's doing the work of a historian, not trying to push a narrative.
