Interesting video of some Russian range training. My SIL who's a Gunny in the 5th Marines would probably have a stroke if he saw this.

Tad more radical than I had proposed but I will accept it. As I mentioned it may take some time to find but I will give myself 24 hours (until 9AM Eastern 9/13) if I have not found it by then I will concede and withdraw from the thread and if I do find Tucker saying he is rooting for Russia you will withdraw from this thread. Deal?

No need,

While I actually appreciate your intellectual honesty, I made a deal, and even if what the above poster linked has frick all to do with the thread, I am a man of my word. This I my last post in here (it would have been the one prior, but I figured that your post deserved a reply).

Peace amigo.

The leg’s out...

Also gonna have to say that your contributions to this thread offer another perspective, and mean way more than some side bar argument.

While I wish there were a couple of posters in this thread that would leave, you aren't one of them. There is absolutely a need for opposing arguments in the thread. What the thread doesn't need is drive-by shite posting without any contribution to the discussion.

Video of Ukrainian Squad ambushing a Russian vehicle...led by what appears to be a Ukrainian NCO.

This is just west of Rubizhne in the Severdonetsk area.

It's pretty low and cheap when you have to resort to using personal attacks just because someone doesn't totally agree with you in a Ukraine/Russia thread. Trash.

frick off...he is the one that went personal..i was simply pointing out that maybe he should rethink that position and stop acting like he is all high and mighty

and i have posted my concerns about this whole thing in the past plenty.

Lots of the baws don't realize they're seeing Russian talking points and adopting Russian govt views because they're seeing them in American media.

A unit of Russian marines, the 810th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade, was wiped out in Kharkiv region. 85 percent of the unit's personnel became casualties ("200s" and "300s") due to the Ukrainian counter-offensive. Surviving militants refuse to re-enter combat.

Operational information as of 06.00 12.09.2022 regarding the Russian invasion
After the successful actions carried out by the Defense Forces in the Kherson direction, the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower. According to available information, the 810th separate brigade of marines (point of permanent deployment in the city of Sevastopol) lost almost 85% of its personnel. The rest of the servicemen have an extremely low morale and psychological state, they massively refuse to return to the combat zone.

Ill play

What do you want the US to do in this war?

i would have perferred us stay out completely since it was a european war, but since we are in and their is a chance to take out Russia without losing a single American and change geopolitics for the better for the US.....you supply what you must to allow Ukraine to win and cause regime change in Russia.

quote:

Would you go fight? Send your kids?

frick no and frick no. nor would i want any americans there

quote:

your future tax dollars?

i am praying this was a loan/lease thing and the EU is on the hook for all the money we have already spent. I dont think that we should have gotten in but that ship has sailed. So now i hope we do enough that the general outlook of geopolitics is changed in favor of the US in the long term.

quote:

Why do you think Western propaganda is so terrible in this war? You're not bothered by it?

im bothered by propaganda on both sides always. But our main stream media sucks but other than the bullshite celeb stuff with Zolinsky....they havent put out much propaganda on this one imo.

seems so many russian sympathizers or those that want russia to win keep saying this everytime things dont look good for Russia.

bottomline is russia will not conquer ukraine without going nuclear and if they do or blow up the nuke plant....that will be the end of russia as a country.

so their leaders are going to have 3 choices

1) keep fighting and allow loses to mount over years and collapse the country from the inside ending in a revolution and death to those in the upper levels of the government.

2) accept ukraine soveriegnty, return crimea and return to pre-2014 borders.....aka accept defeat. still a chance those in the upper levels survive and are allowed to retire

3) go no holds barred and go nuclear and accept the end of russia as a country and their own death as a result.

and before you have go talking about people not having skin in the game...remember your previous post where you have talked about what you do and what you make. have some fricking self perception bro!!

The Ruble is at 8-year highs. Once the snow starts falling in Germany (we're literally weeks from that), he can name his price for gas, assuming he's even willing to turn the spigot back on.

That's a weird definition of "weakened", at least where I sit.

Within Russia, which is all Putin cares about, he's as strong as ever. He has also put away $2bn, EASILY, for his own retirement.

yea there is no civil unrest huh? no calls for him to step down?

their military isnt being gutted?

germany is still all in on Russina LNG right?

their economy is just killer right?

come on man, just because the ruble is doing better than is was doesnt mean its not market manipulation that will eventually cost them and weaken them.

All I ask you to do was drop the single issue. As far as I am concerned that is all you need to do. The agreement was with me and no one else. Feel free to post with no integrity issue with me, just drop that one line of discussion.

Opposing views are good. I just got tired of the derail and wanted to end it.

Oh, I think this is bad, long-term, for Russia. But it is bad for the West, too, as China (and, to a lesser degree, India) will fill that void, not a visibly, palpably weakened U.S. and Europe.

It is almost as if someone (not Putin) had a long-term plan that WAS working. I just wonder who that might be.

I just wonder...
