CNN (I know) and Newsweek both reporting the the administration/US intelligence is telling Ukraine that large scale invasion actions are about to begin within 48 hours, and specifically mentioning a large armored buildup across the border from Kharkiv.

FWIW Kharkiv is outside of the Donbas but adjacent to it. It's hard to imagine moving on Kharkiv would be anything less than full scale war. Worth noting that even CNN is caveating this and saying previous detailed predictions by US intelligence of invasion have been wrong.

There are a lot of videos/photos from Russian accounts showing armor buildup in Belgorod over the last couple days - which is 75ish KM from Kharkiv I think. The satellite imagery has shown that for a while, but some Tik Tok (what a world) videos like the linked seem to confirm

I think it’s going to happen tonight. First time I’ve really thought we were only hours away since this all began.

Conventional wisdom would say that Russia would attempt to degrade Ukraine’s anti-air and communications abilities as much as possible with cyber and electronic warfare. Then I would expect cruise and ballistic missile strikes against high priority targets like airfields and command centers. Ground forces attack in the very early hours of the morning almost 100% of the time because no one wants to roll out of their sleeping bag at 3AM in the Ukrainian cold to run around fight.

We still have our Global Hawk drone flying directly over Kharkiv right now with another on the way right now to relieve it I presume.

It should also be noted that the USAF manned Rivet Joint spy plane just left Ukrainian airspace. Probably just on schedule.

I assume Putin would give any NATO countries a last minute heads up to get their aircraft out of Ukraine so that there isn’t some sort of mistaken identity. I doubt he wants one of his MiG pilots to accidentally kill some Americans on day one.
