Honestly, that may make them better. If they refuse to dismount their tin cans they are less effective than Lt infantry on its worst day.

With the technology and weaponry available to an infantryman today I think I’d rather face a BMP than a dismounted squad of infantry.

This is now a few hours old and you've probably heard (sigh), but Girkin suggested transferring Belgorod Oblast of Russia to Ukraine so that the authorities could say Russia is not being shelled anymore.

KHARKIV / 2015 UTC 10 SEPT/ The rapid collapse of the front east of Kharkiv is the single worst defeat suffered by Russia since World War II. Reports indicate that the city of Izium has been entirely liberated, as has the transportation hub of Kupiansk.

I don't understand how Russia has let Girkin live and continue to post.

These Twitter reports look great but Are there any real media sources reporting that UKR is being this successful?

Ukrainian forces advance to outskirts of Lysychansk, Luhansk Oblast.

Luhansk Oblast Governor Serhiy Haidai told Suspilne television on Sept. 10 that locals have already seen Ukrainian soldiers on the outskirts of Russian-occupied Lysychansk.

Full video of Ukrainian troops approaching the Severodonetsk district.

Too bad Lima Whiskey is banned and Stidham8 has not showed his face here this week. They were so happy when Severodonetsk and Lysychansk were captured back in July.

They are about a day late. They are just now reporting on the retreat from Kupyansk and Izyum.

Well. The Russian state news agencies are acknowledging the collapse of the Russian army. And pro Russian military bloggers are saying it's worse than reported.

But: keep the faith. You guys might take Kiev yet. Everything still going according to plan??

Not sure which sources are acceptable to you, but CNN, Fox, NYT, Wash Post, etc... are all reporting it.

I really don’t watch the news. So that’s why I was asking. Those are all acceptable sources. Thanks you

More unconfirmed maps show the possible movement of Ukrainian forces...I guess we'll know if they are accurate or not in a few days after the fog of war clears. So far the mapping of the offensive has been spot on.

Wee Wee, these are showing what we expected.

I think the basic answer is that suppression of speech from the nationalist/imperialist side (comprised heavily of the security services coalition) is a lot more risky for Putin than trying to suppress other dissenters.
