Grinding down the Ukrainian army? Are you a paid Russian poster? Come on man. Even the Russian MOD has admitted that it has lost Kupyansk (its most vital logistics hub inside Ukraine itself) and that its forces are retreating. I do not think you realize how big of a blow the loss of Kupyansk is for Russia.
As you can clearly see in the map that Kupyansk is the hub of the rail network in eastern Ukraine. Without Kupyansk Russia cannot move it supplies from Belogrod (which is the main supply depo for the Russian forces in the Donbas) to its forces in the Donbas by rail or major highways without taking a 1000 km detour. Even with the detour Russia may not be able to sustain its forces because if the Ukrainians reach Lyman the the rail bridge across the SD river east of Luhansk would be within HIMARs range.
