Fighting continues on the outskirts of the town of Lyman in Donetsk Oblast, which has been under Russian occupation since late May, local mayor Oleksandr Zhuravliov told Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne on Sept. 10.

“The Russian military is still resisting,” he said.

“Our flag is not there yet. We have to wait a little bit.”

The town of Lyman was occupied by Russian troops on May 30, 2022. It is located in the north of Donetsk Oblast, 50 kilometers from the town of Izyum in Kharkiv Oblast, which was reportedly liberated on Sept. 10.

If you actually think Ukraine is taking place because its a way for US politicians to make money you have taken leave of any common sense.

Do you know how many countries there are in the United Nations? 193. Some will have - to put it mildly - lax banking standards and almost zero transparency. Nigerian oil minister emails anyone? Somalia? Ethiopia? Burkina Fasao?

There are probably 10 other countries in the world too small or weak or reliant on another country to be included, but they do exist and nearly all have banks - in fact some exist precisely (and seemingly only) to have banks. Monaco says hi! Macau says hi! And let's not forget the shadowy states run by other states (Northern Cyprus says Hi!).

So, in this world of international transfers, money donations, inflows and outflows, you suggest that - of all the places in the world they could choose to launder money - the politicians of the USA chose Ukraine - a country which even before the war was partially occupied by tyrannical Russia, a country whose infrastructure (including the banking technology) was vulnerable to hacking and a country with hundreds - scratch that - thousands of Russian spies, agents and informants, all of whom would love to curry favor with Moscow by finding something embarassing to America - you think of all the countries in the world THIS ONE - not Nigeria, not a bankers paradise like the Bahamas or Virgin Island, no, no THIS country is the one they will choose to be dirty in, just a few miles away from basically an enemy state?
