Iraq had a far inferior military than Ukraine.
Iraq’s terrain was purpose built for rapid movement by armored forces
Iraq had zero Air Force at the onset of the war and basically zero anti-aircraft defenses.

Y’all Russia is getting its absolute arse beat by the Ukrainians right now. You can tell because they have the capital city of Ukraine completely surrounded, are begging it’s old women to come to the park and make Molotov cocktails, and Ukraine’s president on tv every chance he gets begging for help and bullets.

German invasion of Netherlands only took 4 days but Netherlands is much smaller than Ukraine. German invasions of Poland and France both took about 4-6 weeks- that seems a much better comparison, and the Germans certainly did not hold back in those places as the Russians seem to be doing in Ukraine.

Of course they have given up a lot of land. Their military command is probably going to try and take advantages fights, not toe to toe. I’m confused why you are posting this stuff. It makes zero sense. It was never going to be the plan to go head to head.

I agree that people might be a bit hasty in proclaiming any kind of victory trend for either side. That said, I think part of it is generally people rooting for the underdog/victim and hoping for the best.
