Credit given when earned.

No credit actually earned but if we still had the 2 million BPD of stripper wells not being permanently shutdoww thanks to the lockdowns of 2020, our oil production would be highest ever. We do in fact have the highest net exports of oil and refined products ever.

Well who could have predicted this? Lol

A lack of replacement parts is causing catastrophic failures, also known as banana peeling barrels, and a “hunger” for ammunition. DNR and LNR troops are transitioning to the 152mm D20 howitzers first designed in 1947.

A credible blog on "energy" with an article regarding natural gas in Europe. Very little connectivity between nations. Take Iberian Peninsula which has next to now connection to outside of it. It sources gas from across the Med and little used LNG terminals.

Europe needs Ukraine's existing storage capacity.

Talked to a state representative yesterday about this.

It’s a bad situation, that we should all be concerned about.
I didn’t leave with a good feeling at all
based on what I was told.

British Defence Intelligence
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 2 September 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE

Heavy fighting continues in southern Ukraine, including shelling in Enerhodar district, near the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Despite the war in Ukraine, on 01 September, the Russian military started exercise Vostok 22, its annual Joint Strategic Exercise, marking the culmination of the military training year. Russia publicly claimed that 50,000 troops will take part, however, it's unlikely that more than 15,000 personnel will be actively involved this year. This is around 20% of the forces which participated in the last Vostok exercise in 2018.

Russia's military performance in Ukraine has highlighted that Russia's military strategic exercises, such as Vostok, have failed to sustain the military's ability to conduct large scale, complex operations. Such events are heavily scripted, do not encourage initiative, and primarily aim to impress Russian leaders and international audiences.

ISW Update Sept 1

quote:

Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated his false framing of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine as a defensive operation to protect Russia on September 1.

quote:

Russian milbloggers continued attempts to claim that Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the south has already failed.

quote:

As ISW has reported, military operations on the scale of the ongoing Ukrainian counteroffensive do not succeed or fail in a day or a week.

quote:

The Ukrainian General Staff stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended the deadline for Russian forces to capture Donetsk Oblast from August 31 to the still highly unlikely target date of September 15, and Russian forces are conducting several redeployments to meet this goal.

quote:

The Kremlin is likely seeking to capitalize on the significance of seizing areas around Donetsk City that have been contested since 2014 to boost the morale of Russian and proxy forces.

quote:

Key Takeaways

Ukrainian forces continued to target Russian logistical nodes and key positions throughout Kherson Oblast in support of the ongoing counteroffensive in southern Ukraine.

Russian milbloggers reiterated claims that Ukrainian forces are fighting along four axes of advance in Western Kherson Oblast.

Russian forces conducted ground attacks northwest of Slovyansk, south and northeast of Bakhmut, and northwest and southwest of Donetsk City.

Russian authorities escalated claims that Ukrainian forces are threatening both the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and the newly arrived International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) delegation on the territory of the ZNPP.

The Russian 3rd Army Corps is continuing to form for deployment to Donbas.

Russian occupation authorities are likely increasingly recognizing their inability to successfully hold sham referenda in occupied areas of Ukraine due to Russian military failures and ongoing Ukrainian resistance in occupied territories.

You need to just remember the only reason pedo joe is trying to protect Ukraine is that it is the nation he launders a lot of his kickbacks through

That is a rational concern. Europe isn’t all that hot typically (and yes I’ve been there on a hot day during summer). It gets really fricking cold though. How many Europeans have fireplaces? I’d think not all that many these days. Obviously I don’t think millions will freeze to death, but it might be enough to flip people dying from heat that year rather than from the cold.

I would think the opposite...

His point still stands though

Here you are wrapped in fear over a situation you do not have all the information on, yet you focus on the scenario in which people freeze to death in mass. However, the scenario of this winter coming and going and nothing significant happening is just as possible.

But keep screaming that the sky is falling eventually you may be right, and you will still have accomplished nothing by living in fear.

It gets pretty hot in Europe. Clearly your European travels keep you in Scandinavia.

Where Exactly in Europe do you envision people freezing to death? You think cities with average winter temperatures in the 30s are going to cause mass casualties?

It is not. Certainly it isn't a reason on why Western European countries will sacrifice the entire reason they have a defensive arrangement with the US in the first place.

You sound like one of those Americans who brings toilet paper and a tent with you to western Europe because you don't think they are modern countries. Western European nations are modern and will be able to carry on without mass freezing or starvation. They are not serfs who depend on Putin's Russia for their survival.

Putin is not General Zod. No one has to bow down before him. His threats to destroy us all are not credible.
