Should we believe that CBS report?
It doesn't matter. Russia is winning, y'all continue cheerleading and sending your money that way. The Ghost of Ukraine thanks you.
There'll be some more feel good stories tomorrow to give you hope.

I’ll say this in regards to the report about 30% of aid getting to where it needed to be. At first I thought it was just poorly written and taken out of context because it was really just humanitarian or other NGO type aid being wasted and abused for fraud. But the quickness at which all the governments and agencies have freaked out about and fought against that report, combined with the fact that the US is sending a General to Kyiv to oversee the shipment and distribution of western supplied weapons in the wake of the report make believe that it’s true. I mean, is it so freaking crazy of an idea that there would be some Ukrainian arms dealers trying to make a buck off of America’s shiny new toys?

Why don't you rant about that CBS msm report? According to everyone of your posts the msm are liars and corrupt.
CBS the good guys now because it fits your narrative?

The motive is likely to try and drum up more external support for Ukraine for the purpose of either further monetary or military aid.
The fact that they are reporting it is most likely not to show how poorly Ukraine is doing, but to instead point out how much more help they need.
Every major news report exists for a narrative reason, IMO.
The problem is, outside of this thread, no one in the USA cares anymore.
Their attention is shifted elsewhere.

Bingo. I wouldn't put much stock in it outside of that.
Anyone with common sense knows what's really happening. The cheerleaders probably do at heart, but the feel good stories have them orgasming.

Ukrainian forces use HIMARS to strike Russian deployment points in Melitopol, killing 100 Russian soldiers
Monday, 8 August 2022, 07:11
On the night of 7 August, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the points of temporary deployment of Russian troops at industrial facilities in Melitopol [a city in southern Ukraine, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast which has been occupied by Russia – ed.] using HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System).
Source: Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, on Telegram
Quote from Fedorov: "Last night, high-precision HIMARS rockets struck the points of temporary deployment of the Russian occupying forces at industrial facilities in several of Melitopol’s districts, causing fire damage.
Early reports indicate that a large amount of [Russian] military equipment has been destroyed. Over 100 Russian soldiers who were spending the night in temporary barracks [at those sites] received their tickets to Iosif Kobzon’s concert [i.e., were killed; Iosif Kobzon was a Russian singer who has become a symbol of an outdated Soviet aesthetic; he died in 2018 - ed.]; their parents are already selecting the make and colour of their Lada cars [referring to an interview with a grieving mother and father who proudly bought a new Lada car with the "coffin money" given to them after their son was killed in Ukraine. The interview was broadcast on Russia-1 as part of a propaganda package on how the Kremlin helps families of dead soldiers – ed.]."
Details: Fedorov said that Russian forces had transferred a significant portion of their air defence systems from Melitopol to Kherson last week.
The mayor added that last night was the most productive one for the Ukrainian troops in the region; Russian air defence systems are no longer capable of withstanding the Ukrainian HIMARS attacks.
He believes that this creates favourable grounds for a successful counteroffensive on the Melitopol front.

We'll spend hundreds of billions, never fear. The ole MIC and nation building machine isn't dead. We'll send the weapons to destroy shite, then the money to build it again.

Oh the folks at the Pentagon care quite a bit, same with this Administration.
Hang in there Scruff 28 Billion more just on the current appropriation and there will be more $ after that.

You may have missed my questions, but I’m genuinely curious to know. I have seen several Russian is winning posts…most recently yours.

Russia had the early advantage in the first month. Overwhelming firepower, overwhelming number of troops. They made some legit gains in the south, north, and east. But they failed spectacularly at their original objective in Kiev. Since then, they lost ground in the north and south, and gains have been slow along the eastern front. All of the Russian troop and equipment losses have been documented.
And now, we are seeing the Ukrainians consistently hitting long range targets, which include precise locations of Russian command centers and ammo depots.
The Russian occupation of Kherson is having significant supply issues. Russian forces are having to recruit more troops to backfill all of their losses.
These are all facts that severely impact how much Russia is “winning”. So your claim that Russia is winning is the epitome of cheerleading.

There is way too much money to be made by the MIC to actually try to end the conflict.

Money is ALWAYS the primary reason behind these conflicts.
